on top of not wanting to have them, not everyone has the time or resources to take care of a child, you’d rather them have neglected children? Most idiots I’ve met can barely handle a pet.

Never expected so many people that seem like smart motivated individuals , here, not having kids.

I previously worked 80+ Hours with no days off back and forth across the state, kids seem like a great idea…
likewise you struggle to make it to payday working full time plus, kids that you can’t provide for without assistance seems like a great idea. More than likely You live in a bubble and only think about your situation. for you it’s doable, but for others it isn’t.

There is no stronger urge in nature than that to reproduce. But if one feels that their genetic material is not worthy of being passed along, by all means please don't.

It’s crazy how some people who claim to love freedom sure hate when people do what they prefer.
You make a lot of good points as well. However, some of the organizations and activities you mention have gone woke. If men get involved, and women are in charge, the men are marginalized. That's not to say that they are always mistreated.
It's that they are ignored and any insight they provide is ignored and possibly ridiculed. They just need the men around to do the heavy lifting and chores that involve brute strength.
Also any activity involving children on a volunteer basis involves the risk of false accusations about the men. Anything said that can be misconstrued will be misconstrued.
Some children involved in the aforementioned, wholesome, activities can be spoiled, woke brats that are just waiting to get attention. And it's not the type of attention that is good. The person getting the unwanted attention is usually the male volunteer.
I'm not saying that all of those groups are bad but caution is warranted.

Nothing to do with genetic material. Im actually the type that should be reproducing. Has to do with societal norms.

That’s a completely different situation that only has it involves having children linking it. You can have as many kids as you want here which makes up for those lacking children to an extent and there isn’t mass starvation in America. China didn’t have that option and couldn’t feed the people they had do to communism and was already a shit hole because of it. About 30 million people starved before the one child policy. the one child policy was just another failure brought on by other stupid ideas, not THE failure.
schools are building/expanding like crazy….thats not do to lack of children it’s do to crowded classrooms. though now it’ll be an argument about schools which isn’t the issue here and just be to change the subject. Family housing is being built like crazy even with shitty high pricing…must be the lack of kids.

I guess I am in the minority. I absolutely love having kids and being married. Selfish having kids? Having kids is one of the least selfish acts a person can do. My family and kids come before anything else besides God. They are priority number one. If the world throughout history thought as many do here today, you wouldn’t exist. Selfish is only wanting for yourself and thinking having more material things makes you somehow happier and better. I wouldn’t trade my family for anything in the world. But I also loved my parents and I am grateful that they provided me with a wonderful life It’s cyclical.

This is a valid point. I've seen several women have kids as a status symbol and are shocked at the amount of effort that it takes to raise them.
Burt is spot on that if you are a societal parasite pumping out kids you are just making criminals. If you can’t take care of yourself and have no drive to work your kids are going to be less than worthless. That’s not about money. That’s about values. Tying children to wealth is bullshit. Plenty of poor people have raised great children. Rich and poor are relative terms. How rich would we be if we weren’t tax slaves to a welfare state run by a leftist aristocracy?

I would give everything up that I have for my family. Sure if you can’t literally afford to have kids or a family then by all means, don’t have them. If you have to live off the government, then don’t have kids. But if you can afford them, I would say having a family is an amazing experience.
I agree. I see this every day. And yes kids are a ton of work and they take a ton of time and energy. If you don’t want that to be your main focus in life, then I agree don’t have kids. Too many immature people having kids not realizing what they are getting themselves in to and then be horrible parents.
How about the parents that have kids, 40+ hour a week jobs, and let someone else raise them? Why have them if someone else is going to do most of the work?

I don’t judge. What works for one family may or may not work for another. My wife does stay at home but I also have friends whose wives work and I think they are amazing parents. It’s not necessarily the amount of time you spend with your kids but also the quality of that time you spend. That’s just my opinion.
