School teachers make pennies yet I know multiple that have kids own a house etc.

You don't know a ton about teacher salaries then. Lots of them in lots of places make good money it's public info. Also if it's a married female most have a husband that works also.
Yes my priorities are wrong that's the issue. It couldn't be anything else that you don't know about...lol
If you wait for money to have kids you won’t have them, period. When you’re no longer the most important person in the world your priorities and behavior changes (for the better), and your level of happiness and contentment goes through the roof. Marriage is hard, but assuming you had a father and mother who loved you and put time and effort into raising you to be a whole human being (so you know what you’re doing), having kids Is like a force multiplier of love in your life. If you know, you know.

The engagement
occurred on 12/31/23. We met back in April '23. It's the best ever especially given my background of chasing stabbies. This woman is truly a blessing.Unintended consequence of the 1 child policy was the male heavy population.
As we know in china males are considered more important than females.
Better jobs, higher pay and especially the custom of the oldest male taking care of the parents then being the head of the family.
It was very common for families to abort or abandon female children as they were seen as a burden in the future.
So for a time the available working population was very productive in comparison to a true “50-50” mix enabling the exponential growth.
That has now come to roost as we know.
The younger male population literally has no chance of having a spouse or family as there are more men then women.
So the average young Chinese male does not have the need for financial security /providing for family etc.
Which leads to work ethic and such.

Brought it up with a supplier I know for years who is US based but still goes back and forth with business in both sides.
Says the article was very close to reality, young men today will live several in a small cheap apartment because there is no reason to save.

Plenty of well adjusted people just don't want kids, and that's okay. Just like it's okay for you to have kids.
If you don't have the drive to have kids, doing it would be a stupid and terrible idea. You aren't a lesser person for not having them either.
The money thing is mostly devils advocate and another valid reason for many.

Lacking the want to have children isn't the same as lacking the opportunity.
I am not implying that men should give up because it’s hard but that we shouldn’t risk careers and/or our freedom to help an organization where wokeness is in charge because they will use every dirty trick to ruin you.

I just don't want kids. never sounded like something I wanted, but still have several valid supporting factors keeping that idea going.

Im on the opposite spectrum of this thought. To me, having kids is the most selfish thing a person can do. Almost the most selfish thing possible in life.
You cant gaurantee that your offspring are going to have all limbs, you cant gurantee mental health, you cant guarantee their happiness. Its never been about money, desire, or the work required for me personally. When you and a woman make a choice to have a child, it is exactly that, your choice and not the childs. Youre being selfish! Serving yourself with hopes of happiness they might bring, which they do.
Im not a holy man, but Im sure the above could be argued about gods will, and I accept that stance. My choice was to get snipped at 22. Not for selfish reasons, not to whore around, but rather so I didnt have to subject any children to the damage my parents did to me.
I did raise three oustanding step kids, that all departed my life because their mom was more concerned about absorbing the wealth I created for myself, long before I met her. That goal was more important to her rather than keeping the only father figure her children had.
Its funny, becaue I notice from their social media the two girls are almost complete with engineering school, following my foot steps in life and not hers.
Such is life. Im good with all my choices and the way life has developed for me.
I know I created three contributing members of society, without having any kids. If left to their biological parents, they might have become a drain on society, or maybe not.
I just cant imagine engaging with the type of females out there today. When I watch some of them, Im thoughly disgusted with them.

Having a family that you care about more than you could ever possibly care about yourself is a gift from God. I truly feel blessed and I am positive many others here feel the same way. If you are selfish, then you probably shouldn’t be a parent. Parenting is the exact opposite.
I lived in a more libtarded are for most of the years I raised kids. My younger daughter got lucky, she went all 4 years of high school in a very conservative county (and she loved it).

when you are middle class and have kids there a ton of things you don't expect to have to do to "keep up with the Jones's" that welfare people don't have to do.
Literally my kids were teased over where we went on vacation, what sort of car I drove, the house we lived in, the clothes they wore, etc, etc, etc. I am not wealthy, I do good getting by, I am not a poor either, but I drive old cars and don't shop at designer stores paying full retail for everything.
Living in a wealthy libtarded area, apparently everyone buys a new car every year and vacations their entire summer in Italy or France. I wish I were joking. I told my kids to find less wealthy friends
Healthcare - fucking ouch. Even though I had/have a good heathcare plan, still expensive (and not everything needed is covered). Braces, again ouch even with dental insurance. Vacations, clothes, cars, it is truly enough to drive someone broke even if they make a good living.
Kids sports, talk about driving you fucking broke. Everything sports related for kids these days has the intent of them being a pro athlete or getting a college scholarship. There is no playing for fun anymore. Sports require long distance travel now and will drive you broke.
II could go on. My youngest has 1.5 years left of a 4 year college, ouch ouch ouch, but I planned for it and 529'ed my way here. Both of my kids start their adult life debt free, with a paid for car, and some money in the bank. I sacrificed a lot in my life to get them there. Now I am buying toys and having fun (youngest kid has enough left in 529 to pay 1.5 years, and has a paid for new car).
Welfare rats don't have to pay for any of that. They either do not participate or they get everything as a handout for free (that tax payers pay for, thought that was obvious but apparently needed clarification)

100% jaded, which is my point. As long as a couple can live a healthy, moral life and raise healthy moral children, fucking fantastic, and I mean the with every part of my soul.
The problem is, society is stacked against men. Especially middle class men. I dont know your age, but if under 40, there is a better chance than not, your family will be broken before you reach the end of life. Its not my opinion, its stastical facts.
Think about all the people you know that have kids leaving the house and one of the spouses going too. Its a lot. Then to watch everything you built pulled from you, its enough to encourage young men to avoid women, thus children at all cost.
Next time youre in a resturant, look around at families. I do this a lot when out, the men look miserable 80% of the time. They look beatdown. The conversations are usually absent of their voice.
There is a better chance than not, right now your wife is engaged in some sort of affair online or at work. It might be physical or it might be non-physical. And by "your", Im implying the reader not you specifically. Grab her phone, dont even try to open it, and see what the reaction is. That'll pretty much sum up your relationship.
Remember, when the marriage collapses, the kids become the victims. Your selfless act of parenting just bought them years of anguish.

Must be who you hang out with. Both my wife’s and my parents never divorced and stayed together. In my group of friends, we are all still married with kids. My wife and I have been together for over 13 years been married for almost 12. I agree with the poster above. Life just like marriage or any other human endeavor, it is what you put into it.
I won’t argue with you about the world. It’s a constant battle for both my wife and I when dealing with outside influences on our children. We both put 100 percent into it and I will be honest we hope and pray for the best. Sorry you got so jaded that it’s destroyed your entire outlook on life. I don’t think a single married person here or anywhere will say that you don’t have to work at a marriage or raising kids. But the rewards are so worth it. You get out of life what you put into it.
