It’s not a 2-20. Although I guess that would be cool.
That’s been noted. Frankly I’m somewhat relieved as it’s not really possible in that package and not suck. March people, back me up

It's always been that way since it stopped becoming a "writing show." This year was my 13th and the goal every year is simply to make it out alive.Nothing Shot it wasn’t quite ready on my end, but moving forward, you might get a few first looks at stuff not on display
The best stuff this show was under the counters or in the rooms, not on the floor

You 100% nailed the influencer/media loophole. It's ridiculous. I think they should start that threshold at about 2M combined followers if that is their sole qualification.
As for manufacturers, maybe they could hold a annual sales threshold requirement as well. I'm all for the little guy, but we don't need 500 booths selling knockoff ShamWows.
Look what Sig did, no SHOT, said it had no impact on their salesAnyone know what the booth prices are? I thought the prices pushed most of the little guys out.
I personally think everyone needs to ditch shot and just work on their Internet game. They could do everything on their own timeline, no stupidly huge marketing budget (it's been rumored some booths are well into the 6 figures), and no waiting on releases for 1 time a year.
There's other trade shows to sell stuff at. Sports Inc was cool. No media, just vendors and buyers. Stuff got done and product got moved.
I didnt think Philip was on the site anymoreHeard mention of this elusive optic recently. Not going to put the source but it was just an off the cuff mention.
2x bottom end…
20x top end
Vortex wasn’t there eitherLook what Sig did, no SHOT, said it had no impact on their sales
Vortex and sig went all in on NRA IMO. Their booths were gigantic last year.Vortex wasn’t there either

Shot show is for more than purchasing or selling products. Meeting people in person trumps being over the phone or internet when you are trying to strengthen your business relationships. This is my first Shot Show and I think I accomplished more in person in under 2 hours than years via phone and internet.

90% of the people seem to be there to get wasted in Vegas. They show up because they're supposed to.
It would be interesting how empty it would look without the "media".
This reminds me of the song - Video killed the Radio star.... except in this case - Internet killed the SHOT Show.Look at it this way, the firearm industry is being neutered on social media and via the government. Why would we want the biggest event in the firearms industry to go away? If you don't want to go then don't go, don't like the influencers than ignore them like I did. Just because some people here don't see the use or need for themselves doesn't mean that others think it is necessary. Let's try and do better and not be like the left that think whatever they don't feel is necessary in the world needs to go away. This event is one of the largest free speech and second amendment events every year, I want it to exist well beyond the point I'm in this industry.

But here is my issue with that - 2020 was the test run for what Big Tech plans on doing in the near future - they want to destroy not just the first and second amendment, they want to destroy the Constitution and ultimately the whole idea of America (at least the America that the founding fathers and freedom seekers envisioned). So while FarceBook, InstaGroom, Oogle and others seem to still offer shooting enthusiasts an avenue, in no stretch of my imagination do I think that will continue, as we saw with 2020 they have the ability to turn it all off overnight. We are in another election mode and Big Tech will be in full god mode once again... This is why I try to pay more attention to forums like the Hide because these will stay up longer and offer content when others are shutdown for violating a new policy instituted by some leftist Ivy League graduate.

You look just fine bro. They were probably just turned off by that Apple watch.I hit up some of our other euro vendors and NOBODY approached me, even when they were not busy. I made eye contact holding their products and they looked at me like I was going to steal their shit lol. I tried to look as 'friendly' as possible wearing a hat most of the time and button up shirt, but I'm 300+ pounds tatted with shaved head. I should have been an extra in Training Day I'm told my appearance doesn't match my voice lol

j/k...sorta
Yeah, I know they are popular, it's just a personal pet peeve of mine.Having ADHD, a smartphone on my wrist is a lifesaver.

I got you beat there:I don’t give two shits about the popularity, it works extremely well with my lifestyle and managing work and my family. I hyperfocus quite a bit while I’m working and have to set reminders for myself so I know when to change gears. Like today I need to manage my kids pick up and drop offs while I am working from home. Many times I don’t have my phone on me and need to be notified right away. I can make clear calls from this watch, it does not even need a phone attached to it. Essentially, I can do everything but social media/forums, or process orders with this watch. But I can do quite a bit. If I cared what anybody thought my daily driver wouldn’t be a 1999 Toyota Solara with 279,000 miles.
Wait, is this the Richard I've spoken with on the phone??? You're right, I had a different image of you based on your voice, now that I've seen you, I will be much more courteous in the future now that I realize you're also a late night bouncer at the Road House Love the Tatt and the story!Regarding Shot Show since it was already brought up, this was my first time as it's difficult for me to be away from my family with my young children on the spectrum and our work schedules. Well y kids are doing great and covid did bring one small positive that has worked for our family and many others. The ability to work remotely!!! So this year I decided that I needed to meet up with Jeff and Robert in person to discuss ZCO's current lineup, future products, customers likes and dislikes, areas that can be tweaked etc... With Robert being from Austria, this is no easy feat to allow us to have all 3 together and have meaning dialogue. Well that was accomplished this year IMO, hide members and thousands of others will benefit from this specific meeting. I did my whole show experience in one day so that I can search the area for where I'm relocating my family.

I'm just a 50 year old fatass with a rough background that does my best to be part of this awesome community. I'm not here for the quick buck, I'm here for the long term while I also have other business ventures in the future.

We can call it a LPVO and pretend this MPVO is actually a LPVO.A 2-10 LPVO MPVO?
Have ZCO just out-Leupolded Leupold?
Hopefully the FOV values are accurate for USAI'm so confused on the reticles. 10.5" and 61' FOV is awesome though
Kinda my thoughts on the reticle, thought I’d like to see more the DMR/HTR in non-white PDF backgrounds.Wow, those reticles are not exciting me.
DMR - trying to outdo HORUS
HTR - just stop with the circles, dots are preferred…
Predator - what the heck is that surrounding the center dot, some Klingon symbol?
I think the HTR is going to look good in real life. ZCO has always had good reticles. For this type of optic, the HTR should work well and be fast. Would have loved to have seen this reticle combined with the fatal funnel.Kinda my thoughts on the reticle, thought I’d like to see more the DMR/HTR in non-white PDF backgrounds.
Not a fan of circles, but HTR might be usable.I like the HTR for sure.
.5 mil holds
Nice large donuts
Duplicate numbers
Well done.
They are fast. For this kind of optic it makes sense and if you need a scalpel you can always dial. Not a fan of circles, but HTR might be usable.
Faster than dots, explain how? I do not like them because I find them distracting, but that is personal preference. They are fast. For this kind of optic it makes sense and if you need a scalpel you can always dial.
Most targets shot with this type of optic and appropriate weapon system are usually more generously sized. It's easier to find a circle than a dot and there's is always a tendency to attempt to perfectly center a fine aiming point. I find with a circle, I get it close and touch it off. When "any" hit counts the same as a "perfect" hit, I'll take a circle. As always your mileage may vary.Faster than dots, explain how? I may have asked you this before (but I’m getting old and forget). Explain to me your ideal reticle for an MPVO, I recall you saying you wouldn't want the tree going down too far, more gaps, etc…Most targets shot with this type of optic and appropriate weapon system are usually more generously sized. They copied the aiming laser the alien used in the old Schwarzenegger movie Predator and inverted it -Wow, those reticles are not exciting me.

I was really hoping zco would make a 1x.
But it’s looking awesome either way!

Personally I love the K16i SM1 reticle, used it a lot on pigs and other fast moving animals from close to fair bit out and bracketing moving targets seems to be more natural and easier. The HTR is right up my alley.Faster than dots, explain how? I do not like them because I find them distracting, but that is personal preference.
