Anyone handled these? Bluetooth Connectivity to your phone, maybe other devices too?

I'd like to hear some opinions if anyone has checked them out or how they stack up with the new Leicas...

I'm not exactly sure, I think the vid I saw said you set up your profile and everything on your phone and transfer it via Bluetooth.

Just wondering if there is any connectivity with Kestrels and such...

Hard to find good info on it. But haven't looked real hard yet either.

Bumping this to see if any Hide members have these.

I'm partial to better glass > features, so I'm considering these over the Sig and Vortex.

Agreed. These look pretty good. Would love to see Swaro with BT and a robust solver. 4DOF or AB. A wind solution is nice, and I actually kind of prefer the solver being on board like the Sig 2400 ABS.

I have the 10x42 Victory lrf and love them.
But I don’t use the Bluetooth much.
I just use them for range, angle, pressure.

The glass is as good or better than my Leica 2200 and the laser is much better.
I can hit rocks, trees, etc out to 2500-2600 hand held anytime, sunlight, shadow, etc.
The zeiss Also works much better in rain, fog, clouds than my leica did.

Love mine! Glass is amazing. RF works quickly, and I’ve hit objects out to 2700 pretty regularly regardless of weather conditions. . The ballistic app is simple and easy to load using the Zeiss Hunting App. Once your ballistic data is loaded uploaded to the Binos, there is no need for your phone in order to run it. The Binos have Air Pressure , Temp, Angle, Compass sensors built in. You range your target, it adjusts your dope based off current conditions / angle and will give you range, corrected range, angle and your dope / hold over in inches/cm, Mils or MOA depending on how you set it up. It’s a pretty bitchin piece of gear.

Here’s a video that runs through it pretty good.

Looked at one long and hard but passed on it because I was weary of thermal drift on the temp sensors. Are the temp. sensors quick to adjust to changing ambient temperatures: say from an air conditioned truck cabin to outside where it might be 20 degrees warmer?

Honestly I’ve never sat down and timed it. Seema to adjust quickly and has worked well for me. No complaints with them at all.

Note: I did score on mine. These were (are) running $3400 + but I was able to purchase a LNIB Condition Demo pair from Euro Optics for about $2200.

Not a review, but I hunted with a guide who used them

Yeah man, I couldn’t pass em up,
so I sold my SLC’s I quick as I could snatch them up! Lol

EDIT: Was in the market for a new set of Binos when I found the Zeiss. The Swaro SLC 10x50’s I had were just a bit big and heavy for the Hunting I was doing. Glass in them was pristine though.

I went for the 15x56 SLCs, mostly for matches and an occasional Elk thing. (have 3 season in CO this year) and a house in Wyoming -- but both are non-res tags..

Hunting I mainly hunt pigs... last pig I decided to do the guide thing to get on some of the Hurst property with 2m Hunting. Of course we had to let them know we wanted to glass.. not ambush, but the guys where assume.. Anyway that was the first time I saw your binos in action, the solver is better than the weird Leica on board stuff. The Zeiss made me drool a bit; they claimed they like them better than the Swaro 10x EL Range.

Anyway last weekend, smoked some boar bacon..

Nice! Yeah there’s 2 things I don’t care for on these. The position on the RF button is a bit further from the eye pieces than I would like. If you’re holding the Binos to your face and using the knuckle of your thumbs to close the gap between your face and the eye pieces, you have to shift your right hand towards the objective lens, to hit the button, causing it to be a bit less stable. Secondly, I wish they had a tripod adapter like the Swaro’s Use. Zeiss has a universal mount for these, which works great but it includes a strap to lash the Binos to their mount. Works good but I prefer the Swaro type tripod adapter to this one.

I did a lot of research between Swaro EL vs Zeiss Victory RF before purchasing these. It seems that here on the Hide people rarely suggest Zeiss. Very Swaro / Leica heavy here, but once you check out some of the other bird watching / hunting sites you hear a lot more about the Zeiss. All the reviews I read had the Zeiss 10x42 RF’s edging out the Swaro EL and the Leica in RF capability and glass atleast equal to the Swaro if not a bit better. You know as well as I do that with this high end German glass, the differences in glass clarity are so minimal I don’t think the naked eye can tell any noticeable difference. Maybe it’s a CS thing or personal preference, but i dug my SLC’s and I Dig these Zeiss even more.

Looks like outdoorsman has a stud that replaces the battery cover, and allows them to mount to their tripod adapter.

Nice! Well that solves that problem. Appreciate the link!

Bringing up old thread. I, myself am also looking to make a purchase pretty quick for a trip to Idaho for Mule Deer. I'm currently without a rangefinder capable of shots I may take in Idaho and have been trying to determine whether I want a standalone set of binocs with best glass possible and separate rangefinder...or to combine into one unit. I've heard the swaro EL ranges coatings aren't up to snuff with their non range finding ELs which was done to keep the price at a certain point. I also don't like that I can't pair with Kestrel with them when I'm home and shooting long range for fun. The allure of the Zeiss is that they are BT enabled and I've heard that Kestrel connectivity is in the works.... can anyone confirm they are working on this? Would like to be able to get wind values by pairing with the Kestrel since obviously the Zeiss cannot do this.

I recently picked up the 8x42 victory RF's and I came here looking for any info/experience with using the RF in total sunlight. I have the firmware updated and in sunlight (looking away from the sun, but on objects lit up by the sun) and I literally cannot hardly see the laser rf reticle. Is this normal?
