Rifle Scopes Zero Compromise Optic vs Tangent Theta video review

I spent a few minutes with Covertnoob's 4-20x50 ZCO. It is a very promising scope. I will do a more thorough test at a later point, but basic optical quality looks very good and the scope is easy to get behind. We looked at it next to Tangent Theta TT315M I have which is the same scope I compared to K318i. I think ZCO is a solid step up from K318i. Optically, I think TT still ahs an edge, but it is a small edge. As a package, ZCO is extremely promising. Everything is done well. This is easily one of the most well rounded designs Iahve seen in a while and probably the best ultra short on the market now. I will need to spend some more time with it, but I think it has Bill's name written all over it.

I do not need another scope, I do not need another scope, I do not need another scope

Just going to keep chanting that especially with bathroom remodels coming up ?

Let me know when you receive it. This whole chant thing is about as effective as... well any other chant thing.

You know as well as I do that you are going to get one. This is your Holy Grail scope that you've been asking for all this time.

Just got the call from Richard as CS on Friday that my 4-20 has shipped. This will replace my Kahles 3-18 that will be shipping out next week to a proud new owner. Looking forward to join the club.
Wish there we more options on rings for a DT. Not many 1.5 20 MOA 36mm options, but CS found me a set of ARC rings that fits the bill.
I appreciate this awesome review and everyone’s feedback, this pulled me off the fence.

Congrats. You'll love it. Especially if you had extended time behind the 318. You'll notice a few things right away.

I got mine from cs tactical last week and had one range trip out to 400 yds with it and I like this scope a whole lot.I also got the arc rings and they are very nice.Between this scope and my TT 315m I am spoiled for life on good glass.

Thanks! If you get a 5-27 and you want a 420 I might be into a swap. Got the itch to try the bigger one now.
I received my ZCO 420 this week...initially going to set it up on a Vudoo v22...just waiting on delivery. I gave up reloading and local competition shooting a number of years ago....Now you guys have me thinking of starting back again...building a new rifle, ordering the 5-27 ZCO, getting back into reloading, etc….:)

That's awesome to hear! Get out there and shoot a couple matches, even just 1 day matches are a ton of fun!
Enjoy the scope, love the 25m parallax. ZCO really nailed it with that.

It certainly is beginning to sound like that more and more, and you saying this stuff doesn't help you know ;). You know I had this on pre-order forever and I literally took off my pre-order right before the 5-27's started to ship because I got nervous and had other priorities. Unless I can get a crazy good price on my K318i I just don't see myself getting one of these for a while. There is another reason I don't care to buy a ZCO right now but I'd rather not share on a public forum, not a big deal, just a personal irk really. Maybe next year sometime since I don't need a short scope right now, was actually thinking of selling the K318i to get another ZP5, but again, will have to wait until things settle a bit after remodeling.

Sounds perfectly reasonable.

Guys, you are re·lent·less def. :"oppressively constant; incessant " I work "over time" to fund my shooting habits, but thinking at this rates, will work my self to premature death reading these threads! Maybe should go to iron sight threads...

Is it just this scope I recieved or dis Tangent theta fix their they tension on the parallax and mag ?? Just got another TT525P and it's much smoother then my first one. The mag is smoother then my zco527....interesting. now if only they come up with a better reticle something closer to the mpct2.

Reticles are prefrence for sure. BUT I did notice A huge difference in tension. That was one of the biggest issue everyone had with TT525P.

For sure!

I have a TT that I bought in December and the tension on mag and parallax is quite nice, not sure how the "old" ones differed but I don't have an issue

They used to be VRRY stiff. I had an older one and sold for that reason and went to a zco. I just felt more comfortable behind the TT, might be the generous eye box. I like them both in different way. Awsome scopes.
