I found out today that my cousin, friend, hunting, fishing, shooting and drinking buddy has Metastatic Signet Ring Cell AdenoCarcinoma.

Basically cancer in the GI tract.
He starts chemo next week. They’ll have to put a port in him to admin the Folfox, which from my understanding is the type of chemo. He will be in the hospital for two days while they administer the drugs and then taking a twelve day break for them to work before going back for round two.
In total, there will be twelve sessions

Anyways, he saw a doctor yesterday and the doc gave him 2-5 years.

Ive never been much of a religious man, but our family could really use some prayers right now.

My wife's sister is a massive bitch, I mean huge. She has always been a bitch to me, and always been a bitch to my wife every since she was in high school and the wife was in junior high.

She doesn't work (outside the home) has 5 kids from 19 to 5, and my brother in law is a pretty good guy works IT stuff in Salt Lake, probably makes a lot of money.

We are invited the 2 of the wedding parties but not the wedding (because we aren't of that religion, and that is fine). Were given a huge list of shit we had to provide, and told we had to do our own lodging, vehicles (we live 1000 miles away) and no one at any part can wear a mask (pictures). 350 at the wedding, 450 at one party and then 350 at the other.

Half of the family is staying in Las Vegas for a few days on the way up, and the other half is coming from Phoenix area.

I’m looking for some insights on how others organize their gear at home. Specifically I’m talking about magazines, cleaning rods, spare optics mounts/rings, bipods, tripods, spotters, beanbags, etc.

Over the years I’ve collected piles of the kinds of stuff listed above but have never really figured out a good way to organize or store it. I’ve used small bins, cabinets, shelves, etc. but have never found a great solution. Things like rifle mags (non-AR), bipods, and optic mounts sometimes end up in a safe or in a gun bag and I’m always searching for things.

If anyone is happy with the way they’ve organized their crap I’d love to hear about it or see pictures. It’s time I got somewhat organized.

A shooting buddy who maintains the catch-cable at Volk Field AFB invited me to watch the jets take off this morning. Was maybe 50 yards from the runway to see F-16s, 18s, 35s. So impressive to see this, and so refreshing to meet and talk to a few of the guys on the ground, a sharp contrast to the morons, political and otherwise, as seen on tv.

I have a 4.5-27x56 EBR-7C Vortex Gen II Razor currently that I really like (Sits on my Howa), but rather than buy another--what are comprable models in price and performance I looked at the 'High End' ZCO, S&B (Kahles and Tangent are big in my area too) and kinda got lost in what they provide. Was thinking maybe a Nightforce of some sort as a next step.

Initially it'll be 6.5 Creed, PRS primarily and shots to 1200 max. Mostly daylight, doubt it will go hunting.
