I'm certainly not new to military black rifles but I'm really not familiar with the myriad of civilian variants. While I'm sure it's not recommended, can you switch bolts between carriers without things going tits up? That's assuming there's nothing proprietary or weird about them and they're not worn and in good nick?

Bought a basic b*tch ar I’m going to slowly turn into a recce type rifle. What’s some good options for glass? Looking at a nx8 1-8 or scopes similar to that. I’d like to have an external adjustable elevation turret for extended range shots. This gun will be used for life, liberty, deer, and coyotes.

V3 with the area 419 acrylic top, glass hopper, aluminum drop tube thingy, and milled trickler housing. I also have the original components as well as the glass cup which I will include.

I milled a hole in the acrylic top and inserted a brass rod to relieve static in the piece. It’s probably unnecessary in most climates but did help to keep the static to a minimum in Colorado during the winter.

If dish soap is a base and Lemi Shine (Citric Acid) is an acid, then why do people mix the two together to clean their brass? Depending on the ratio, aren't they just neutralizing one or the other, and depending on that ratio, being left with either an acid cleaner or basic cleaner. This makes zero sense to me. Can someone please enlighten me?

Also, the MSDS on RCBS and Hornady cleaner is Citric Acid.

This Les Baer in .308 caliber with the weight of the rifle along with the awesome Enforcer Muzzle Brake is extremely comfortable to shoot. In fact, this 308 Rifle actually feels like a 5.56mm AR15 when shooting it, its amazing how much recoil is reduced when shooting this Tack Driver. I have owned many 308 caliber Semi Automatic rifles throughout the years and this Les Baer has the lowest recoil of any 308 rifle I have owned. Anyone have one of these? Do you like it? Do you have pictures of the reticle at low and high power, particularly with a mottled back ground? I have read some reviews on the Sightron site that said that the reticle was way too thin on the MOE-3 reticle on the SFP scope, but I haven't seen much on the FFP Mil-hash version.

Trying to trouble shoot a new rifle build and hoping the good folks here can give me some useful feedback.

Build:
TS Custom barreled action: 28 Nosler
Lone Peak Fuzion Action
Benchmark barrel: 29" MTU
MDT ACC Chassis - Long Action
Fat Bastard brake

Ammo: 190gr Berbger LR Hybrid Target (Custom reloads Dallas)

for background, TS Custom built the barrel action and I purchased the MDT Chassis directly from MDT and dropped in the barreled action.

The issue I'm having is the POI will randomly shift 1"-2" at 100 yards from shot to shot. The pictures below is representative of what's happening, you see the first 2 rounds next to each other (bottom 2), followed by the next two rounds up about 1.5".



Same thing happens on nearly every target, like the one below: first 1 down, then 1 up, 1 down, 1 up. The POI shift seems to be in a 2 MOA range, and it has been consistently happening over the first 100 rounds fired.



I checked the action screws and they were tight at 60 lbs, the muzzle brake was not loose and the scope mount & rings were also tight. But if everything is tight how can the POI shift so much between shots?

I also spoke with Travis at TS Customs and Chad at Custom Reloads Dallas and they both said the chassis may need bedding. I thought bedding a chassis may prevent POI shifting over time, but would it help with what's happening here where the POI is shifting 2 MOA from shot to shot?

Look forward to everyone's feedback in terms of what the problem may be and any troubleshooting ideas you have are greatly appreciated.
