I don’t disagree necessarily but almost all the chassis and serious scope mount already have built in levels.
Do you really need another battery powered one for that sanity check ?

I hope they win big, but the money needs to come from the employees of the DoJ. The commies have already perfected the model for soaking the taxpayers. An example would be when the EPA allows itself to be sued by some generic environmental group. It puts up a basic no contest defense, then hands over millions of dollars and makes new policies. This lawsuit needs to change that model to a punitive one. Make the people who did wrong pay up. The "Department" is just a basket of people. The people f'ed up, not the department. Make the people pay so they won't do it again.

My favorite bench top material has become baubuche panel. Usually costs less than butcher block per foot. Can be found at most plywood or hardwood retailers. If you look around you can find butcher block on sale from the big box stores or places like Rockler. You’ll want better support than what shelf brackets will offer unless you find some real heavy duty ones and lag bolt them to the wall. Picture of baubuche panel I used on a bench I made.

Another little wordworking project done... Been finishing a ton of stuff this week while taking some time off and with no farm work to do!

This is a little kit I've had sitting around for years. Sort of a 'weekend kit' that took me a couple of weekends... but I went in to a lot of extra detail and careful finishing. It's a section of the HMS Victory Gundeck... Had a lot of fun with it!

I have a Bergara "Premier" Approach (discontinued). There were several issues right out of the box that needed to be addressed. It is an accurate rifle, but this was my one and done with Bergara.

What were the issues? I’ve got several b14 and they’re the easiest gun (for me). Smooth and shoots everything great

Coal Canyon Precision Rifle Match (formerly the Sporting Rifle Match)
A monthly match from February through September
Raton, New Mexico

The Coal Canyon Precision Rifle Match is designed to test a rifleman’s skills shooting small (1 – 3 MOA) targets from approximately 200 to 900 yards in natural terrain with rifle and other equipment that they must carry throughout course.

The match format is 10 stages spread over a 1-mile distance (2 miles out and back) while carrying all gear for the day. Each stage has 6 targets at varying distances to be engaged with only one shot each. Target distances and locations are known to the shooter. At each stage, the shooter will have 3 minutes to configure/deploy shooting accessories and engage the targets with only one shot each. Each hit is awarded one point resulting in a maximum score of 60 points. Most targets can be engaged from a prone position; however, some will require elevated shooting positions with tripod, shooting sticks, or barricade bags.

Typical equipment used includes: a rifle capable of 1 MOA accuracy; rifle optics and ballistic data that allow for precise hold-over and windage, binoculars to find targets/spot for other shooters, and a backpack to carry clothing, shooting accessories, water, ammunition, and food.

The match is “self officiated” where squad members take turns serving as RO, spotter and scorekeeper at each stage.

I agree. It's cool they went 3000 rounds with no malfunctions, but why dump it into the system more than it already does? Hell, after a few hundred rounds (+500) with CFE 223 or other dirty powders, that good old Geissele SSA-E stops feelings as crisp.

Acquired a cool 1903 with competition redfield iron peep sights.

Shoots really good, getting 1 inch groups at 100 yards with the iron peep sights.

Unfortunately, the stock is a homemade laminate with a large oversized forend with a square bottom that is made for benchrest and does not fit me. Actually rather uncomfortable to shoot and I am a offhand 4 position shooter in which benchrest is used to check ammo and then back to the skillset I prefer, both competition and hunting.

Going to start hacking away on the stock and cutting it down, customizing it to my measurements but would like to know if the Boyd's replacement is something I should consider before starting the project.

leaning towards the non thumbhole stock, primarily for strength. and durability.

I grew up in Maine with a “can-do, will do attitude”.

I live in Wyoming now where they have a “can’t do, why should we bother” attitude.

Local teacher at the high school I graduated from literally told the 9th graders who had to decide on college track or the "Trade" track told the whole class in front of her that "Only stupid kids go to Tech." A fucking quote. From a worthless POS socialist social studies teacher with a Prius. Who could not change a tire at gunpoint.

She was the stupid one. Because she was too stupid to know that the person who fixes her plumbing and car and changes her lightbulbs makes 5x what she will ever make and is not a brainwashed twat.

I tried to get her fired... raised a huge stink with the school board and the principle and the state board that included the folks who run the tech/trade programs... other parents and was pretty much told I was wasting my time. She has a fucking union and 'tenure.' (Since when do high-school teachers get fucking tenure?)

Anyway...

These over-educated eco-fruits have infested everything and confuse degrees with wisdom and sklls! Vermont is full of these abominations and I hope they get their funding cut off next 4 years and fucking starve. I'll put them to work in my fields in exchange for gruel and the occasional potato.
