Gunsmithing What action to build custom 223 on?

Just finished one, I used an Impact 737R with a 26" Bartlein heavy varmint in a Foundation Centurian.

You just exceeded that "10# or less" in the first 30% of your rifle 😆.

I've got a 26" Krieger HV on a trued 700 in a McMA4. Some guys just don't know what they're missing with a big ol' .223 rig.

AR Gas Tube Wrench

So a quick update. I called Superlative Arms to see what they would recommend and they said to put the gas block and tube in the freezer for a few hours then try to tap the gas block against a wooden table to knock the gas block off. After 5 hours in a freezer and 30 minutes of hitting it against the table I still could not get it off. I put it back in the freezer over night and tried again with the same results. Eventually I just gave up and put the gas tube in the vise with rubber jaws and used a plastic hammer to knock the gas block off. When it finally came off a black flake came out of the gas block with the tube. The gas tube was not coated so I know it didn't come off the tube. After getting the gas block off I ran a pipe cleaner through the gas block to see if anything else came out. I had a couple more black flakes come out. I then called Superlative Arms back and told them about the black flakes coming out of the gas block. They said it was probably an issue with the finish on the gas block. When I asked them if I should be concerned about the gas block they said no. When I asked about sending it in and having it looked at theyvsaid I could send it in and they would install a gas tube in the block for $10.00. I told them no thanks.

I called and spoke with Craddock Precision and toldnthem about what happened. I asked them if they had heard of this before. They said they had not. When I asked ordering a new gas tube they said they needed to check my original order and call me back. I couldn't remember if I ordered a rifle length or rifle length +1. After about 15 minutes they called me back to verify my email and said a new gas tube and gas block would ship out that afternoon. About 30 minutes later I got a UPS tracking number emailed to me. I told them I had no problem paying for the new gas tube as it was not their fault. They would not let me pay for it. They said a return shipping table would be in the box for the gas block. The new gas block and gas tube arrived Monday and went on with no issues. I sent the old tube and gas block back to Craddock Precision. After this I will not hesitate to use Craddock Precision again. They went above and beyond to fix a problem that was not their fault or caused by a product they made.

Your Favorite Lucky Duck Thread

@Blue Sky Country what’s your favorite Luck Duck thread?

The Civil War ones obviously :ROFLMAO:

They actually gave me a bit of extra impetus to go back into skirmish shooting soon. COVID dealt the sport, and the living history sphere around it, kind of a low blow but it is bouncing back. As long as MAGA keeps on it's record progress of getting everything wrong fixed, and pull off a few big zingers like finally achieving lasting peace in Gaza, helping bring an end to the shit in Ukraine, etc, the world will be celebrating AMERICAN PRIDE alongside us.

Unlike when you search most writers who have a substack it isn't showing unless you directly search his name and substack.
Exactly. They used the tools of our dept. of dirty tricks normally used abroad, at home. Same with all of the internet speech policing started in Europe first, once perfected they brought it here for the internet, social media and media.

I get it it. I bought this place that was a mess but little by little I finally got to burn. Poison oak, blackberrys, scotch broom. I have some good timber and big oaks. This fall I burned all my fields and some interior areas. The prep took a bunch of work but I think it was worth it.

L3I Angled billet mag review

This is not really a review per se but since I had a lot of testing to do I thought I'd give it a fair shake, Derek Webster ran it in a few matches that ran perfect after adjusting it to his MPA BA comp chassis. When I tried it in my Foundation Centurion originally I had a few issues but today I thought I'd give it a good adjustment and see what it could do. Turns out it works awesome once ajusted correctly but like everything else 700 rimfire we have to "make" a rimfire work in the design of a centerfire rifle so all in all I think it was a great idea that they came up with and absolutely flawless feeding for 300 rounds today.I Actually shot some of the best groups today simply from not worrying about possibly having a feeding issue, strongly recomend them.

This sure looks like violent insurrection to me....

Absolutely no fan of Maxine Waters and her cronies but there is no legal reason why she was refused access to a Government building. If it can happen to her, it sure as hell can happen to you. Let her whine inside and make a nuisance, THEN kick her out or arrest her if she refuses to leave. This hand could have been played better.
