I have a Noveske 18” Lightweight stainless SPR barrel. Comes with gas block and gas tube as shipped. Barrel is still in box I received it in. Never opened.

Mainly looking to trade for a shorter barrel, will consider 223/5.56 or 6 arc. Would like to stick with Noveske or Proof but I’m open to other high quality barrels. Can provide actual pics of my barrel when I’m back home.

Brux vs Bartlien vs Wilson Combat

The Brux shot 7/10 sub MOA 6 round groups and was very consistent. I got the Brux barrel from White Oak Armament. The Bartlien is from Compass Lake, and the Wilson Combat is from them. Tested with a variety of bullets, brass and powders to get a good idea of the overall performance. None of the loads were refined for any particular barrel, all loads were on a list I keep of loads that "tend" to be above average across many barrels. That N135 load of 22.7 seems to be excellent no matter what barrel I use, one of the very rare loads that doesn't care what barrel, but not absolutely. Another good load overall, across 10+ barrels is the FB Tipped 55 grain bullet and AA2230, 26.0 grains. All the ogives were dented too.

Brux expensive, but consistent and quality results, happy with that. I don't see the Brux listed anymore for barrel only, I waited many, many months to get that. I think I paid like $575 or something like that for it. While the Bartlien was like $750 because its fluted.

How do the older Leupold Vari-X III scopes from the 90's compare to what's made today? I have a Vari-X III in 3.5-10 and a 6.5-20 with Duplex reticles that aren't getting used much and thinking about an upgrade. Not sure how desireable these are today.

I’m thinking about another build and can’t decide between 6.5 cm or 6.5 prc. I recently just had a 300 prc built and have a dd5 in 6.5 cm but want another bolt gun. It will primarily be for hunting. I I will probably have it built similar to my 300. Origin action proof carbon barrel ag alpine stock. I don’t know much about prc but do like my creed. Which would you guys recommend?
