3A.[#2433] Virgin Knights Armament KAC SR-15 E3 Upper Receiver, Stripped. These are part of small handful of KAC stripped Upper Receivers that were recently released. These uppers have not been assembled on complete rifles or even complete upper receiver assemblies, so they are therefore referred to as “virgin”. They are engraved with the KAC shield on the upper tang under where the rear sight will mount. $325 shipped SPF

Pristine NXS or well used ATACR?

I’m looking at a number of scope options to put on either a 6.5 LMT MWS 20” auto loader or a 308 Tikka Tact 1 24”.

I currently have an NXS 3.5-15x50 that I moved from the LMT to the Tikka and I’ve been thinking about something with more magnification for the LMT.

Two of the scopes I’m considering are Nightforce. One is a pretty pristine NXS 5.5-22x56 and another is the same but with 50mm objective. Or, I have an option to get a very well used (but not abused) ATACR 5-25x56.

Is there a significant advantage of the ATACR over the NXS? It would cost about $100 more plus the cost of mount/rings with the added wear and tear.

Worth it?

SOLD Nightforce NX 8 and Meopta Optika 6 Scopes

#1 Nightforce NX8 4-32 x 50 MOAR CF2D Reticle, 2nd Focal Plane, 30mm tube, MPN C641. Probably less than 100 rounds on scope. C/W Tenebrex covers, box, throw lever and whatever else they come with new. Not a mark on it that I can see. Its still mounted so its possible there may be faint ring marks once removed. Rings not included. SOLD

#2 Meopta Optika 6 4.5-27 X 50, First Focal RD Reticle, MRAD, 30mm tube, MPN 653595. Great reticle for an all purpose scope. Very visible at low power unlike most FFP optics. Has illumination but not really necessary with this reticle. Nice locking elevation turret with zero stop. Optika 6 are great value and nice glass, not sure you can do better for the $$ This scope may have been mounted but I don't think it was ever used it. $675 shipped

Multiple caliber kits / conversions question about serial number

Probably a stupid question and I am good at that.

When Hornady came out with the 7 mm PRC, they pointed out that if you already had a 7 mm Rem Mag or .300 Win Mag, you could swap barrels and even use the same bolt face.

LIke any rifle where you might replace a barrel or trigger assembly, you don't need a 4473 federal transfer. Because those are replacable and not serialized. The receiver is holds the serial number.

So, if you put a 7 PRC barrel on a .300 WM receiver, is it still legally a .300 WM, which is what it was when you bought it and transferred with a Form 4473?

Do you run afoul if you don't file a change of caliber associated with that receiver?

Does it matter? The SOCOM MRAD, which you can buy, has .308 Win, .300 Norma Mag, and .338 Norma Mag barrels and parts. Only one receiver presumably having the serial number.

I try to foresee ways the commies could come at us and worry about crap like this.

Honey Badger 300 BO sub-sonic hunting loads

I have a Q Honey Badger in 300 BO (16" barrel) that is rejecting almost everything I've tried to feed it in a heavier, sub-sonic hunting bullet. Getting jams and in some cases, problems getting the charge handle to move after first round is fired.

The only two bullets that the folks at Q have suggested I try are the Maker and LeHigh sub-sonic hunting bullets.

Before I sink a bunch of $$$ on these two brands, can anyone tell me what luck they may have had in their Honey Badgers?

Bear in mind, a Honey Badger is not a standard AR15 action so what works in an AR, may or may not work well in the Honey Badger. (Don't ask my why).

Thanks in advance for any insight .

Gas Gun Pressure and Brass Question

Just got a JP LRI-20 in 6.5 Creedmoor. I’m used to reloading pressure signs for my bolt guns, but it’s the first gas gun I’m going to reload for. I Put about 200 rounds of factory Hornady ELDM 140gr through it and most of them came out with ejector marks.

1) I wouldn’t run my bolt guns with this load if I saw this. Would you say this means it’s over pressure and should I stop if I see this when I start to reload…or are gas guns harder on brass than bolt guns?

2) can I use the cases with the deflector marks and damage on the neck? They pretty much all have it and look like this. I have another 300 rounds I was hoping to use the brass on once fired.

6.5 CM AR-10 Difficult to extract manually

Hi,

Fresh build of an AR-10 in 6.5 CM.

Stag-10 upper and lower receiver set
BA 24" Stainless barrel
Tool Craft High Pressure dual ejector bolt

I've put 90 rounds through it, and it has ran and shot great it is pretty accurate as well.

When manually manipulating the bolt, it is difficult to extract a round out of the chamber by hand. It can be done, but its definitely not smooth or 'easy'.

I have tried both a factory round, as well as a reloaded 'dummy' round that was fired in the rifle, then the shoulder bumped .005". They both behave the same way upon extraction.

The weapon functions as expected with no issues when being fired this is only an issue when manually operating it.

Any ideas? Is this normal? Maybe because of the double ejectors or something?

WTB (Found) Black Vortex Razor Gen 3 6-36 in MRAD

As noted looking for the Black (EuroOptic) version of the Rezor Gen 3 6-36 in MRAD. They should be back in stock in a bit but was seeing if anyone had one that was not in current rotation and in good condition (original box and stuff preferred but not a deal breaker) . Must be able to prove you have the scope, I am not an idiot, so no scammers please. I have read the warnings but still hopeful...lol. So far the 10+ things I have bought here went perfect and hoping not to break my streak.

millet windage adjustable rings questions

so i have a very nice vintage ES340b Mauser trainer that predates WW2 , i have a correct small arms Oigee scope for it ,but they did not have windage on their scopes back then , only option i could find were Millet 1 inch windage adjustable rings with 7/8 inserts , i havnt really done anything with it for several months because im not entirely certain how the rings adjust windage and they do not have instructions in the sealed blister pack , look very well made

im guessing you loosen one side of the claw and take the slack with the opposite side , i am also guessing that you must do front and back at the same time in the opposite direction as to not kink or pressure the tube , does this sound correct ? im just wanting to get my ducks in a row rather then cause a issue in haste , its a scarce rifle and vintage glass ,so i thought i would ask those that deal with scopes more than me
