Firearms Colt Upper, Proof Research Carbon 18"BBl. Seekins brake,Riflespeed port and White Oak guard

I am thinning out some stuff due to age and just too many things. I have a complete Colt Upper,C marked BCG ,White Oak Arms Rail,18" Proof Research Carbon Fiber bbl(Rifle length gas port), 1 in 7 twist with Wylde chamber.Riflespeed adj gas block, and Seekins Pres. brake. The barrel has no more than 200 rds of slow fire thru it. It is very accurate as You would expect and soft shooting. The Upper and BCG have more rds thru them since it has obviously been re barreled. I have been on the Hide for over 10 years and have over 180 A+ rating on Gunbroker. $850 plus $25 for insured shipping. You are welcome to pick it up in NW Columbus Oh.

Lone peak actions.

So i need help, I purchased 2 lpa actions. 1 long action ti and 1 steel medium both fuzion both full dlc. I had 2 carbon six barrels made and that's where I'm at 1 7prc amd 1 6.5 max. I inquired with a well know Smith to make me a 7 mega barrel for one of the lpa actions and he refused to make a barrel for lpa. He said they are junk. He said for 300 he could make them to their potential, here are the issue he state and I'm just wondering if it's worth him to fix or try to part of ignore what he said. Here you go. Copied and pasted his comments below

Their shit is generally junk if you want benchrest accuracy consistently
1)I don’t do barrels for lone peak arms Too many things need done for a rifle to shoot to its potential. Especially lone peak ignition systems. 80% need fixed
2) they use too weak of springs
3)Firing pins, cocking pieces binding, inadequate firing pin travel. Weak springs. And their actions are one of the most crooked actions on the custom market. I refuse to build on em anymore
4)Horrible cock on close generally also
5)Proper ignition is crucial for consistent benchrest accuracy. Without it the the gun wont shoot light: out. In big magnums I’ve seen hang fires in cold weather w their actions due to ignition. Fix the ignition and it’s cured.
Remachine certain parts $300 to fix em per action.
I don't want to throw him under the bus so I won't name him unless he says I can

Looking for a truck gun

So i am hoping to get some education here. I've spent a lot of time behind rifles both professionally and recreationally but i dont know a lot about AR type platforms in the way of brands and all the companies that make parts for them. I am looking to get a MK18 style rifle with a folding buttstock or "arm brace." I went to several stores today to price things out and I realize that you get what you pay for but there are so many brands out there i am unfamiliar with. I think i'd like to start with something middle of the road and upgrade later.
This rifle will be for the purpose of self defense so i'd pick reliability over a lower price tag but I also dont need a match rifle either- minute of man will do. A couple a manufacturers that caught my eye were Aero Precison and the Sig M400. Am i on the right track here? Is there a better rifle out there that I should be looking at or is it worth the step up to buy something like a Daniel Defense?

Getting old and enjoying it.

My oldest son asked about rifle shooting at longer ranges over the 4th weekend while we all took a couple days off work. I have been away from shooting longer range for years now. My eye have a disorder and seeing 3 targets from 1 makes them hard to hit. I did buy a scope a while ago hoping to get back into it as eye contact technology is improving to help my sight. Still not great. I have not even gotten a good zero on the scope. Blew the dust off a few boxes of FGM 168 308 ammo, opened the safe, grabbed a few other things quick and set up on the flat bed. Had to ride side x side out and find the steel I have had set up. We walked in a few rounds at 735 yards and started hitting steel in the wind. It was a very relaxing. I forgot how much I enjoy it watching them call hits. Also asked about reloading. That is another rabbit hole to enjoy. We can work on that later I told him at 9pm when we quit. I am thinking I will open the safe for them and hope they catch the bug.

TT issues on vudoo

Picked up a gold trigger tech diamond at NRL22 nationals - have now shot 2 matches since then and in both matches my trigger went "dead?" What I mean by dead. Ran bolt/closed bolt nothing. This has happened multiple times.

I am able to push my bolt down more (past normal lock down) and if I hold it there with my finger the trigger will work. also if i run a cloth *scrub on the sear area it starts working again

Any insights/tips other than to go back to my old brand trigger/different brand trigger ?

Firearms ARC M7 Mausingfield action and McMillan McWoody

American Rifle Company open top M7 action, short/right handed, and matching McMillan Hunter stock in their McWoody swirl. The action, their latest iteration (M7), was ordered in the white. Only the bolt is nitrided. 223 family bf. The stock was inletted by McMillan specifically for the Mausingfield M7, has a Bartlein 3b barrel channel, Hawkins Orberndorf bottom inlet, and blued studs front and rear.
