I have a Howa m1500 short action in 6.5 creed. I’m getting to the point where I want to re-barrel the gun and change calibers. I want to move up to 300 wsm. I’m struggling to find a replacement bolt with the proper bolt face and correct length. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find one or the proper way to go about this project? I’ve got my barrel picked out but I don’t want to purchase it until I’ve got a plan for the bolt.

EDIT: I've reached out to a few overseas retailers to see if they will ship, but if someone has a source, I'll likely just go there.

Accurate Ordnance custom built rifle bolt action. The receiver is a trued Remington 700 short action RH chambered in 6XC. The build sheet below is correct for all of the parts and components listed. I had this rifle built for PRS and never used it. The Manners T4A accepts AI mags and I also added a 4” arca rail. The round count is no more than 400. It has a badger bolt knob. It just sat in the safe for a long time. The sale is for the rifle alone it will NOT come with the NF scope bipod or the muzzle break I have a thread protector. I can split up the barreled action and stock.

I have experimented with 6.5 staball and with 41.5 grains i have reached velocities of 2960 fps. I cannot get this powder to behave consistently. I wish I could because it would be awesome.

My 375 build is almost done, and I am not quite sure which bullet I want to start pushing through it. I'm looking at the 400-grain CE Lazers and 402-grain CE Mtac. Any other opinions on bullets to look into using with this 8-twist barrel? Was planning on running H50BMG powder, I also have Retumbo, N570, and N568 that I could try as well.

I was notified that I’m up to send in two actions for my son and I for testing. My question is for those who sent theirs in, did you ship in a cardboard box or a hard case. If in a hard case, did you just tape the latches and add a zip tie through the locking hole? I am aware that my FFL will be the one who actually ships, but he will prepare however I ask.

A catch and release for me, here's an AI AX chassis for a Remington 700 short action. Good used condition, small amount of aluminum milled out to accomodate an action and a recoil lug. Sage green, comes with RRS arca handguard, picatinny rail, both a long and short foregrip, and an AO thumbshelf.

I would like some in-ear/ear bud electronic (sound amplifying) hearing protection to use instead of my muffs when not shooting a lot of rounds or in enclosed areas.

My only real criteria are that they be tethered together and have hooks over the ears as I find I often knock ear buds out of my ears. Battery life and durability is also important.


Also regarding hearing protection I understand muffs reduce vibrations that carry sound to your ear and that plugs alone aren't as good.

That said on a scale of 1 to 10, with zero being no hearing protection, one being cigarette butts or 9mm cases, and ten being foam plugs jammed right into your ear canals combined with gel cup muffs how good are ear bud type plugs alone?

I always thought that the bigger the tube the more adjustment was available for elevation/ windage. But looking at the new NX8 4-32-50 with a 30mm tube it has 26.2 mills of elevation and the gen 2 Vortex 4.5-27x56 with a 34mm tube has roughly the same. What is the upside to a bigger main tube? Trying to decide which one to get.

Got an almost new RIX Storm 6 for sale. Very nice scope I’m just ready to been upgrade to something with ocular zoom and LRF. Only been hunger 3/4 times.
