I’m running Vortex 30mm 1 inch high rings &Vortex viper 6x24x50 on my Bergara HMR I have room to drop to lower rings is it that critical to have the scope that much closer to the rifle? I’ve seen articles about its not really that necessary to be that close to the rifle.

Currently debating on buying one of these scopes, but I can’t decide which one as certain details on them are hard to find, I have owned a LRHs gen 1 and while I loved the scope I wasn’t a big fan of the glass as it wasn’t near as good as my US optics b-17 but that’s understandable by the price range…

is there anyone that has owned both and would be able to provide a comparison?

Is the glass in the gen 2 LRHS better than the gen 1?

Also I’m specifically referring to the newer DMr 3 with the G4p reticle

Last question… is there any scopes that would be recommended in 1000 dollar range that are a comparable value?

Lower right quarter, just right of the vertical stadia below the reticle tree. Looks like bubbles in the glass. I've had this scope for almost three years now and just now noticed this because I rarely shoot below 12X, power setting in the pic is 5X, scope pointed at an off-white door so the glass bubbles hopefully show up better. Now I've looked through this scope below 12X at least a couple times in the past and never noticed them. Leaves me wondering if this is something that can develop over time or something that was always present and I just wasn't paying attention. Anyways, what are your thoughts, advise, opinions, jokes etc..... Send it in and have the manufacturer look at it (Tangent Theta btw) or just live with it like I have been? This isn't a complaint thread, just a mild concern, this scope has served me well.

I’ve searched and read what I could find, but I’m still left with a couple of questions regarding trigger install on a Vudoo V22 360:

• Are the trigger pin holes directional? (and if so how are directions identified? i.e. is “right” the ejection port side? or…?)
• Are the trigger pins supplied with a barreled action tapered, and therefore also directional? Or just a slight chamfer on the end that’s supposed to go in first?

I read where the pins are supposed to “slide in”, at least to the trigger assembly, after which you are supposed to tap them the rest of the way in. Mine most-definitely do not “slide in”. I was able to get them barely started with hand pressure: front from the ejection port (“right…?”) side, and rear from the other (“left…?”) side, after which I had to drive them with a brass punch and hammer. I’m hoping I didn’t do something backwards and screw something up.

These were new takeoffs from the actions I sold this year. Both are new and unfired (except for proof loads). Both are 8" twists

Bought this from a friend and put it on my back up rifle but going over to the razor line so it’s gotta go. Some wear on top of the tube where the finish is coming off but glass is good. Slowly building out a new dmr. Geissele super duty upper and lower receiver, solgw lpk, geissele trigger, a5 buffer.

I really like the Geissele mk16 rail with the built in arca. Are there any other rails with machined in arca? I haven’t seen any aside from the sgt of arms .

Looking at 18” barrel (223). Heavier, but not a pig . Any recommendations? I know there are so many good barrels out there currently .
