I purchased this new, as a barreled action a couple years ago and just got it back from Bergara with a brand-new barrel (unfired other than factory testing) and cerakote. The bolt has been upgraded to the current generation, tuned and headspaced by Bergara at its Georgia facility. Ejector was staked, by me.

Ok S&B wizards, I own a 5-25 with the H2MCR but am considering replacing it.

Have my eye on either the same scope or 3-20 US with the GR2ID (in case this scope lands on my 204 someday, the TR2ID doesn’t fit my varmint shooting 204-blowing-in-the-wind needs).

My question to you is at 20x, give me your feels on both. Eyebox, sharpness, etc. 20x is where I shoot a LOT at due to tiny targets. Way smaller than a typical CF comp steel plate and 20x magnification is critical. For me, anyway.

Above 20x mirage is often a factor, so 20x is the sweet spot. And on the gun I’m thinking about, a S&B is a perfect look.

I do know a scope tends to perform the best in the middle mags, or at least not in the extremes of its mag range. The 5-25 does darken rather significantly between 20x and 25x, and that’s another consideration if that happens to the 3-20 at 20x.

So I can guess at what the crowd will say, but I’d like to hear from those who have looked through both models.

Looking to see if anyone has an NBK & 737 to compare and get their user review on the differences.
I've built a short action lightweight gun. Using a 737r right now on it (works great) but curious what other users' review have been when running an NBK.

Hello everyone,

I started shooting PRS this year as regional competitor. I have been shooting in the production division using an Aero Solus in 6.5 CM and it has been great but I'm at the point where I want to order a new barrel so I have one ready for next season. My question is, is there any advantage or enough of an advantage if I switch from a 6.5mm to a 6mm? Something like the 6GT. I've shot my buddies 6GT and its nice, but I have never used it in a match. I like my 6.5CM and other than the barrel of the factory Solus being too short IMO it has done very well with factory Hornady 140gr ELD-M's. There are a ton of people at the matches that are shooting 6mm's and I have asked this question and the answers I normally get is that the recoil is less so it is easier to spot your misses but at the same time the 6mm's have less splash.
Also, I wanted to mention that even though I have used factory ammo this year I am set up to reload so I'm not counting the need for making my own ammo as a disadvantage, other than I haven't had any issues finding match ammo in stores for my rifle. Also I don't want to use I 6mm CM, 1000 round barrel life doesn't make sense to me.

I have some old red/green box .257 Nosler ballistic tips that I could not find a published G7 BC for, in 85 and 100 grain weights. In addition I have some 100 grain BT's with a cannelure that I would imagine that the BC will be slightly lower than the smooth ones? I also have 110 grain accubonds from the same time period, and don't know if the bullet profiles/G1 BC's have have changed as well over time. I did several searches and was unable to find a published G7 bc, but did see a post or two stating that Nosler's G1 may be inflated.

I'm working on developing a load with the 85 or 100 grain bullets that will hopefully produce shock, awe, and massive destruction on a coyote or three this winter. The 110's may be used on deer... next year
