I think we put about 100-150 rounds through it. Everything is flawless

Tossing in a Midway bag, and rear bag. All you need is ammo.

Asking $1,800

I'm located in DFW Metroplex. We can meet near Texas Motor Speedway. Shipping at your expense.

Weirdness with Lot-Tested Center-X

Summary:
  • Had my 1st-gen Vudoo tested at Lapua's AZ test center early 2020. Bought 2 cases Center-X. I'm down to three (3) bricks of it.
  • Over thousands of rounds, this ammo has averaged ~1080fps with an SD ~7-9, depending on temperature.
  • Accuracy is a consistent 1.0 - 1.1 MOA @100, with plenty of 1/2-3/4" groups to be had.
  • Then, last month at a monthly gallery-style match, I missed four 100-yard targets. Perspective: to that point, over the last three seasons and 18 matches, I missed a total of 7 100-yard targets.
  • I thought my scope (ZCO 527) had crapped the bed... Yesterday I learned otherwise: Every round chronographed in one box of this ammo was 50-70fps slower than the historical average. JUST THE ONE BOX.
  • Ammo has been stored in benign HVAC-controlled environment, temp 65-75 F. / humidity 45-55%. Definitely no solvents, WD-40, etc. stored in the same room or even in the same wing of the building.
So today I took the remaining 20 rounds from that "bad" box to the range along with the remaining seven boxes in the brick (two boxes fired at the disastrous match). I tested 5-10 rounds out of each box. None of the rounds tested from the "unknown" seven boxes chrono'ed low; in fact, four box's samples tested about 10-15fps high. After each "unknown" sample, I fired a couple of rounds from the "bad" box - all of which were 50-60fps slower than historical average.

Lessons learned:
  • Before using the remainder of this lot-tested Center-X in competition, I will test five random rounds from each box.
  • In fact, from now on, I'll sample a few rounds from every box from every lot I ever buy again before competing with them.
  • I'll only buy one case after the next test session. Given the "profile" of how these weird rounds presented, I doubt that the ammo's age is the cause of these two boxes (from the same brick) having such low velocity. (Note: I shoot a lot of SK ammo to save the lot-tested stuff.)
-------
Anybody else ever experience anything like this? I've seen some puzzling things in six decades of shooting, and this one is brand-new!

And so it begins...

Building my first bolt gun. Went with a Zermatt Origin action for ease of barrel install and caliber changes in the future with the swappable bolt head. TrigerTech Diamond 2 stage got here yesterday and a MDT ACC Premier chassis is on order. Still not sure about caliber yet. Got .445” and .473” bolt heads. Kind of between 6arc and 6.5cm.

Firearms WTS: Kimber KDSC9 Rail with Accessories, and Mags (8) total (2-18's)(6-15's)

I have a nearly new KDSC9 Rail that has the Sniper Grey Lower, with Black Top end. Less than 100-rounds though it. I just can't get rid of the “glock grip” angle while shooting, and figure I will let the 1911 grip angle go to someone that really likes it. That and I have some med bills to pay for a knee surgery, so I will be out of action for a bit. Here is what I have that I would like sell as a package, and what I paid for it. I am asking $1900, shipped, you cover insurance. FFL to FFL. May part out the the EPS, and Olight if the pistol sells first

(1) KDSC9 Rail (Grey Black Night Sights) (2-15-round Mags) $1,699.99
(1) Kimber Optics plate for Holosun $100
(2) 18-Round Extended Magazines $65.00 each
(4) 15-round Mags $40.00 Each
(1) Holosun EPS Carry GR-MRS (Green Dot or Circle Dot) $400.00

Total Paid: $2,719 Asking $1900

Accessories Marathon 46mm CSAR® Type II - Diver's Automatic - $2,900

Up for sale is my Marathon 46mm CSAR®Type II - Diver's Automatic. I bought this in June/2024 and although it has seen some use, it was not a daily wearer for me. There are some signs of wear (minor) on the buckle of the rubber strap, but that’s about it. Rugged, and dependable it is a serious watch for serious operators. A big chunk of steel that wears like a much smaller watch, fashionable in the field or at the Golf Club. It can be worn both casual and dressed.

Includes Stainless Steel Bracelet (never installed), 3-PieceRubber Strap Kit with brushed steel hardware (installed) and Nylon Defstan Strap (never installed). As an added bonus, it also includes a Marathon logoed LeathermanFree®T2 Multi-tool and a Marathon logoed Black Canvas Watch Roll. All original boxes, paperwork, etc. included. This complete package at retail would be over $5,300

Not looking for trades, and I will cover shipping/insurance in CONUS. $2,900 firm, PPFF or Zelle preferred but other payment arrangements can be discussed. Feel free to ask any questions! Thanks!
