It seems that before Surgeon cerakoted the action, there possibly was a fingerprint on the action, which over the years created slight surface rust. Trying to remove it seems to have worked, but it also removed a little of the cerakote. This is, of course, minor and can be seen in the images on the left side of the action.

My budget is $1100 for this 6 mm ARC rifle. I want a threaded 22 inch or longer barrel with a diameter of at least .740 just before the threads, a 3 lug action with a 70 degree or less bolt lift, an adjustable trigger no more than 3.5 lbs and a decent stock. I have looked at Howa BA and Brownell tells me the 22 inch bbl measures .574. Also Howa's action is 90 degrees. Aero precision Solus bolt is not as yet made to fit .441 inch case head. Ruger American Gen ii has a 22 inch bbl predator model that meets most of my requirements except for the stock. KRG makes a special Bravo for the Ruger with AI mags. Boyd makes an AI Ruger kit with bottom metal in aluminum for at least one of the thumbhole stocks. If any one has experience with that conversion please give me a heads up.

I am going a different route, and want a longer .308 barrel. The 6.5 Creed barrel has 50-rounds of factory ammo through it as part of the break-in before I wanted to go .308. Purchased the .308, and never installed. It's still in the original wrap.

Would the Swiss be better than 37XC?

I'd like to 375 as TBAC now has suppressors with this bore, and the 338 class bullets just don't offer enough gain over 300 class right now.

Which scope mount should I use?

Redfield Jr with the correct finish but has the rounded corners

Badger Ordnance reproduction with a parkerized finish

Or send out the Badger Ordnance to have it blued

Anyone have instructions or info on this scope? Scope is 20-25+ years old. Photo is looking at the elevation adjustment, is the small screw at the edge of the center white a set screw to lock/unlock adjustment or a "fine" adjustment? Is the white tick mark in the black a "zero" point?
