For the life of me i couldn't find the thread i remember reading about short barreled 6.5x47L results. Been entertaining the thought of taking my 700 5R having some action work done to it then rebarreling to 6.5x47, like my match gun. All this with the intention of running 123gr Matchkings at 2800 if attainable. The idea is a portable hunting/comp hybrid. Mainly having a more portable rifle for hunting season that isn't 16/17lbs like my current 6.5x47L, but if my brother wanted to shoot a match it's still more viable than what my 308 is putting out, which is 178gr BTHP at 2630.
2800 with 120s/123s easily attainable with a can?
