Alright.....because it genuinely sparks my curiosity, and the collection of knowledge on here is beyond impressive, lets wargame this because I want to know.
What aircraft could be used to engage the spy barroon, and what missile system would be able to lock onto it? I would assume all the heat seeking variety are out of the question, but would a radar guided system be able to lock onto it? Last I read the target is at 85k feet elevation. Can it be locked onto, and can it be taken out with a tactical fighter of some type? Or does it have to be engaged with a ground launched AAM that's guided from ground based radar systems? Surely there's some current, or retired pilots on here that can spill the tea without violating OPSEC.
