Trump just offered him the VP position, he declined but it was a good endorsement. His 2nd stance, especially appointing Judges that follow the Bill of Rights, is imperative.
Vivek is proposing laws that prevent anyone under 25 from voting unless they are military, first responder or pass a test. Very comrade of him.
I tend to think Trump publicly tossed the VP bone this early in the process as a way to send a message that he's not "presidential material" and undermine him.

Study early post Revolution, you had to be a Land owner in order to vote, you know skin in the game. Twinky Twats in College, most do not have a clue what's going on. Bounty Land was available to all who served in the Revolution. I had two 5th GGF's that wintered in Valley Forge, they suffered, I hope not in vain. Two years National Service out of High School, the Swiss do it, Israeli's do it, builds sense of County.

Study a little harder and one might also find you generally had to be a man and you had to be white and in some places you had to pay to vote but that was a State limitation AFAIK and not a Constitutional limitation.
My GGF's wintered in Acadiana, my grandparents only knew the English they learned from my parents and my dad only made it to 8th grade before he had to go to work until he looked old enough to enlist in the Navy during WWII. None of that has fk all to do with voting rights but since we're sharing I thought I'd reciprocate.
With one exception every grand kid/niece/nephew is a practicing Conservative who knows "look for the Republican label" means just as much today as "look for the Union label" but they do what they can. The other one is an singer/performer.
On the surface something like a skin in the game to vote policy sounds like a good idea but a lot of people with a ton of skin in the game are dyed in the wool communists/socialists/oligarchs and I'm not entirely sure "we" have them outnumbered.
AFAIK, Switzerland is one of the poster children for liberal and progressive economies/governments. Military service doesn't guarantee any kind of conservative mindset. One of the most liberal and anti-republican people I've ever personally known was a Ranger sniper who took a round in the leg in one of the 'stans but he's not voting anymore.
But to your point, Trump was no gem himself ... banned bump stocks ... wanted to ban suppressors ... not exactly a bastion of freedom. Even Reagan signed away machine guns and then there's the Patriot Act ... not one of them will hesitate to sell your soul for something they want. So if the voting thing that is unlikely to pass is the only skeleton in Vivek's closet he may not be a bad choice but I'm not prepared to take that bet.

To succeed at his level, you have to have good ‘political’ instincts…know how to read a room and ’sell’ your product. And yes, in this case he’s the product. He’s at least espousing a lot of the same things I believe.

Ramaswamy announced his presidential run just two weeks after the changes to the Wikipedia page.

Nah, he’s no Soros disciple. Wants to defund and shut down Dept of Education, EPA, FBI, DOJ and any other agencies under the Executive branch’s control. He said Trump got duped into believing federal workers have rights that preclude the President from firing them. Vivek said he will call it a RIF and legally they cant stop,him.
Name has nothing to do with elections at the federal level.
- Is he an established member of the machine?
- Can he be manipulated to fill the needs of the machine?
- Is he beholden to the machine?
A no to any of these questions disqualifies him.
He‘s less tied to the machine than any other candidate, IMO. Not from politics, business owner, didn’t come up through the ranks of any gov’t agency. He says Trump was the best POTUS of the 21st century. Basically, he brings Trump’s policies but without the immense ego. He will appeal to younger voters and women. We get to avoid Grumpy Old Men 2 in 2024.
Taking scholarship money when he was 20 doesn’t make him bad. He’s talked about it publicly. A scholarship doesnt mean squat. Now when you mention machine, just look at how CNN, MSNBC and NBC have been attacking him lately. Unlike most GOP candidates, he’s willing to talk to people on the streets, in inner cities. The machine is scared of him.
I’ll tell you something else about the machine, the very the past few weeks I’ve watched probably 15 you tube videos of Vivek. (Really like his message). Today, I just scrolled down 10 pages of videos on my YT account and NOT ONE Vivek Ramaswamy video. A couple weeks ago there videos of him from a dozen different channels, now there’s not a single one. 
Could not say Id be all that thrilled to have a raping child in the white house . something about him really makes me feel he is off a rhino maybe but who knows for sure .he is young and has lots of time to grow up if he makes it that long , I personally would like to see how he would do on a smaller scale before president mayor maybe or congress man .
I'll still cast a vote in a national election but my main focus now is on my governor and my county.
