I regret selling it already, but I really wanted a truck. The expedition rode much better but lacked BOOST and a pick up bed. Anything I can do to make it ride better? I wanted to do a 2” level kit but I’m afraid it will ride even worse.

Leaf springs vs independent coil springs. It will never ride as well as the Expedition. Best you can do is get a set of Bilstein shocks, which will help control the rear end

Ride in a F250 for a while. Or better yet, a stock E350 van. Bet that F150 will feel like a luxo-barge afterwards.

I don't know the age or condition of your truck, but new dampers ("shocks") may not be a bad idea if you're getting that seasick or floaty feeling, or if it's crashing through the travel on bigger bumps. Also make sure the jounce bumpers ("bump stops") are in good condition. Modern vehicles rely on them to provide the correct ride rate.

My F350 has leaf spring suspension all the way around. I piss blood for a week after driving it on rough roads. A 4 link coil over conversion is on my to do list.

Mine has a small lift and leveled . 4x4

A tri fold cover and box of tools / rescue gear was enough weight to calm it down. (200 lbs total)

Tires and pressure touchy, experiment with it.

Wouldn't trade my f-150 for much of anything I've been in.

Fuckin' Gucci trucks....at least yours has tow mirrors!

Level kits are for mall cruisers, embrace the rake and level it by doing truck shit otherwise you'll be complaining about sag when towing/hauling and looking at spending money for airbags to cancel out the problem spending money on a level created.

Modern pickups ride REALLY well...if you want 'better' then buy a Lincoln SUV.

Roadmaster Active Suspension and Bilstein 5100s...probably won't make it ride better but it will allow it to do truck things better.

It is the 3.5 TwinTurbo. Torque out the ass! I might even get it tuned just for fun because I am a horsepower nut. If I do the 2 inch LVL I want to do it with coil springs and shocks, I just don’t want heavier coil springs. The most it’s going to tow is my Boat. I don’t even know how heavy it is, maybe 5000 pounds? It won’t haul heavy loads except maybe firewood once a year. It will be mainly for hauling dirt bikes and camping gear. I might even put raptor springs in the back because I know they are the same length as the F 1 50 Springs.

As you remember my post a few months ago about wanting to buy a raptor, I couldn’t bring myself to spend that much on a new one, or even a decent used one as they were still well over $50,000.

Dude, some thing about four-wheel independent suspension on a full-size SUV, it floated like a 1970s car but with more control. It legitimately rides nicer than the F150.
If you want to do all you can for the best quality ride look into the Michelin M+S tires. Second most comfortable tire I’ve ridden on is the Yokohoma Geolander AT/S. Tires absorb a lot of the ride.

    Light tan interior? Yikes

I’m thinking of my kids being monsters and destroying anything light colored though.

If you’re up for the work you could install a rear air suspension system. Then you get the even ride no matter what

It's literally a week old. I still need to put a hitch on it along with a 7 pin plug and brake controller. I'm still trying to figure all that out.

The truck is rated to pull 7500lbs, and payload is just under 1500lbs.

TFL on YouTube pulled Eisenhower Tunnel with a 5000lb trailer and it did great, they also descended down it and it did really well too.

It’s a goddamn pickup, put fuel in it, change the oil, grease shit and drive it!
And dogs ride in the bed! Fight me!

My dog rides up front, kids and wife in the back!

But really, you'll hate how the back sags and your braking weight transfer goes to shit if you pick the front end up too high.

Dont install a leveling kit. Throw anything in the bed and you will ride nose high especially in a half ton. A truck should have some rake from front to back.

Ford's MO on all their trucks: build factory truck to sit level because pavement pounders love that and 90% of trucks are city driven and never tow or carry anything heavier than bicycles in the bed. Someone sets half a ton in a f150/250/350 and the truck sits like a Sopwith Camel inside a hanger because its got soft springs to help with unloaded ride and most brodozers dont care about towing shit, they just want that thing to sit level.
