Well sort a, when the wheels come off in a match, its kinda hard to take.I guess a bad day at the range still trumps a good day at work.

I gotta go too far to shoot any matches. Just recreational shooting here. Today is good practice for those drizzly rainy days in the deer blind.Well sort a, when the wheels come off in a match, its kinda hard to take.
I was fighting my “match” rifle on Thursday, when it went from dead on at 775 to could not hit a piece of 4x8 plywood at 300 yards. (Actually it was a 33% silhouette) Went though 8 rounds bracketing the 300 yard target with no luck. So, with a spat of four letter words, I went down range, got a 66% silhouette and set it up at 300. First shot hit the very right edge. Finally got it sort of squared away…..
Went to get my practice rifle off the rack to do some practicing and sure enough, there sat the UNUSED “match” rifle. Shooting the preferred rounds of the match rifle in the practice rifle, does not work very well. And, the match rifle went on to do some of the best shooting I have done this month, right off the bat. Talk about felling STUPID. (Both were the same caliber but for some reason, the practice rifle just won’t shoot the hybrids).
Not much worse than sitting in a deer blind in the rain. But, tracking one in the rain is worse. And, so is cleaning one in the rain.I gotta go too far to shoot any matches. Just recreational shooting here. Today is good practice for those drizzly rainy days in the deer blind.
Drizzling rain, 2-5 mph wind from the left about 10 o'clock.
The hardest thing is losing a fur-friend... I hope his passing was gentle and that he was in someone's lap being showered with love...RIP Roscoe. You were a great friend.

A buddy and I used to laugh a the fact . Work would be 98 degrees and everyone's whinin yet the range could literally be on fire and it's the best day ya ever had .I guess a bad day at the range still trumps a good day at work.
