You can say that again! Throw a Proof CF barrel on it and it is a featherweight.I just ordered a grey birch. I haven’t received yet but they are light.
Wow, that is a great looking rig.You can say that again! Throw a Proof CF barrel on it and it is a featherweight.

@ Mark_Dorman Who makes that barricade stop?.
Next on my list of things to get, maybe not exactly next...the list never seems to end !GrayOps CNC
I have the shorty one and 10/10 recommend it: https://grayopscnc.com/collections/arca/products/bag-stop-shorty-arca-mount
Looks great!! I am also just starting a refinish job on my MTR. Have not decided on clearcoat. What did you use?Wanted to show a before and after picture of my new MTR that I just refinished!
Are you truing your lot of ammo?Kind of a specific question but what drag function are you guys using for your ammo in your ballistics app? I'm currently using G1 with SK standard plus but I've heard some people using G7 or the RA4. Am I overthinking?
I have pretty good DOPE for up to 100yds since that's really all that we shoot for NRL22 but I'd like to get DOPE out to 200-250. I'm on my last box of the same lot so next order will be a new lot number. Are you truing your lot of ammo?
My magwell has failed twice in that specific location as wellGot the L3i bottom metal in and installed yesterday. Definitely a nice piece.

Turned out the original magwell from the VMTR was starting to break apart so perfect timing. Seemed like a really odd place for it to start breaking, but glad I caught it before it got too bad.

Install went smooth and I'm very happy with the quality. Also glad I won't have to worry about it breaking in the future.

G7 form factor is based on a boattail bullet while G1 is based on a flat base artillery shell. G1 should fit and model a 22LR better than G7. Just saying.Kind of a specific question but what drag function are you guys using for your ammo in your ballistics app? When I used Strelok I used RA4. I did have to true the results to get almost perfect 200 and 300 dope.G7 form factor is based on a boattail bullet while G1 is based on a flat base artillery shell. G1 should fit and model a 22LR better than G7. Just saying.

Depends if you're just plinking or shooting matches. For matches, the longer barrel and no suppressor. For plinking, suppressors are fun as hell.I’m looking at the 457 varmint in the boyds stock barrel options are 16.5 and 24 inches I will be shooting suppressed what’s everyone’s thoughts on what barrel length to go with? I like having long barrels with my 6 mm and magnums etc but not much experience with rimfire
I target shoot at home . I have 1000 yard range and I will want to stretch the rimfire out a little and being heavier doesn’t bother me . I just didn’t know if barrel length changed velocity like it does with the center fire stuffDepends if you're just plinking or shooting matches. For matches, the longer barrel and no suppressor. Oh easy barrel change I like that . Thanks for the input . So the longer barrels only added benefit is the weight? Like I said I have had 22s my whole life but never a nice one and I have never paid attention to the nuances of rimfireA heavier barrel will definitely help since you're gonna be shooting that kind of distance. You could always go for the shorter threaded barrel and get a different barrel later. It's only two grub screws to replace the barrel.
With 22 LR barrel lenghts over 18 inches or so actually slow the bullet down, you will loose muzzle velocity. But it have shown for many manufacturers and gun smiths that it's beneficial for accuracy, hence why many precision 22's are around 20 - 22 inches. So the longer barrels only added benefit is the weight?
Yeah, I wish they had an option in the middle somewhereWith 22 LR barrel lenghts over 18 inches or so actually slow the bullet down, you will loose muzzle velocity. Lots more to it, but that's what I've learned reading and listening to the 'big names' in the rimfire world.
When can I come over?I target shoot at home . I have 1000 yard range and I will want to stretch the rimfire out a little and being heavier doesn’t bother me . I just didn’t know if barrel length changed velocity like it does with the center fire stuff
I don’t know .. I like to drink beer and ring steel some people don’t like thatWhen can I come over?
