You shouldn't have any issues buying one in Europe or Australia and bringing it back to the US other than possible customs fees and *maybe* S&B USA giving you some flak if you ever had to send it in for service... The European models have a different warranty because of some EU specific warranty laws, and not sure how they would handle that along with the issue of having a US patent infringing scope in their US service center.
Not sure if they can still ship S&B here because of dealer agreements, but possibly Optics Trade could get you one... Years ago they always had better prices than US dealers on S&B, but typically with a longer wait time.

Forgot to mention there should not be any potential ITAR snags in your scheme provided you bring it in from a friendly country on the ITAR list. I've shipped several day scopes to Australia for a member here and after consulting with our import/export compliance and ITAR guy here at work we determined they were exempt and noted that in the customs declaration with the USPS. They all made it there in 3-4 days and neither of us got a visit from the suits, lol

The issue with the Arken's was not that their glass sucked. At least with the one I tested... it was that they had no coating on any of the lenses, which leads to anything but perfect lighting conditions causing glare, etc., that made with scope difficult to use in a number of conditions.
Dont get me wrong, they are cheap as hell... and could probably be used for hunting, etc. Just not great options of PRS stuff, etc.
Especially since you can get a Zeiss S3 for $1500, and it's comparable to the Schmidt. (Turrets aside, as the Schmidt turrets are hard to beat.)

I feel like this whole FOV patent stuff is holding the industry back a couple years.
Sales tax depending on the province. Not sure what customs (Americans) would say travelling back. Not like the eu with vat.

All I see in Eurooptic are low profile turrets. As mentioned above I do remember the first run having the DTII turrets as well.
I pre-ordered from EO, and got one of the first ones in the US. It wasn't on their site at the time, but I called and they said they could order it. Maybe call and see if they can still order them for you?
Yeah, it's part of the "Sport - Competition" line started with the 10-60x, which first had that M1FL reticle. They've just added a 6-36x to the line-up, but it seems to essentially be the same.
My first S&B and in MSR2 my favorite. Looking forward to getting some time behind it.
S&B is really speaking to my baser urges with this new MILF reticle yall keep talking about

It appears Schmidt is launching the 6-36 in its CMII line (competition) along with the PMII. Wonder if this has anything to do with the DTII turret availability showing at Eurooptic.
Supposedly not. I looked into it pretty hard and only found one guy who swore the new 5-25 were better, but I believe he was just talking about new 5-25’s in general.
Meaning that included the newer rubber mag ring versions too.
I’ve gathered the TT 7-35 stands above.
The TT 5-25, ZCO 5-27, and S&B 6-36 all sort of swap places depending on what you care about. And the ZCO 840 can either be awesome or not, as it’s been reported that it has a fair bit of sample variation. Also the Minox 5-25 ZP5 is apparently first class as well.
ZCO lies on their actual FOV numbers, according to @koshkin
And the March 5-42 gen 1 & 2 are right up there with this group but march (ha) to their own tune.
I own none of those scopes, but just read up a rather unhealthy amount lol

Seems like its so close that a 5300 price tag on a TT735P is hard to stomach.
When I had my 6-36 I thought that optically it was better than my ZCOs but not by much. Also there is no better turret on the market than the DTII+, yes that includes TT turrets IMO. The set back for me was the reticle options as I could not fall in love with the P5FL I had. Seeing new reticles pop up is very interesting.
I also wondered the same thing after watching the optic trade video review on it. Seems like all upgrades where just external though.
Yeah, reticles are what stops me on the 6-36. Well, that and also the FOV thing. Kinda wondering if the FOV thing is driving the current sales at EO. Maybe a revision and FOV uncorking is around the corner??
Anyway, I’m using my 5-25 to experiment with dialing as I’m mainly a holdover guy. I managed to score a H2CMR new at EO a while back…that is really the only S&B reticle I can really get behind.
Either the MSR2, LRR, or P5F held promise, but either they didn’t have .2 wind holds past 1mil, or in the LRR’s case, it was a weird combo of differently denoted 1mil holds plus a long .5mil hash thrown in there. Wtf?
With Xmas tree reticles, Schmidt’s Gr2id has a bit too much going on (but I still might bite) but the Tr2id has too little (I want at least 2mil wind holds in the tree like vortex’s offerings).
Funny that I can’t find more than one Schmidt reticle that I really like out of what, a thousand? lol
Short dots dropped below 4k so i dont think that has to do with it.
Also as far as reticles…not like ZCO or TT really have great reticles either.

I totally agree. So close, and yet so far, esp with the TT. I could probably make the ZCO IMPCT 3X work for me.
I have one in a NX8 4-32, where it is sort thick for my taste (.04mil). But it’s only .033mil thick in the 7-35 which probably would work for my varmint shooting. Haven’t seen it in a 7-35c tho’.
I like thin rets that don’t block my vision too much.
Currently, my fave is the old Vortex EBR-2c and 2d, but I could see a case for the thinner (.033mil) Mil-XT version.
