Drones over New Jersey?

None of the stories are adding up for me.

It doesn't make any sense for these to be Iranian or Chinese, I can't see how they would be allowed to fly into our airspace with impunity. Especially since there's now been sightings over military installations.

It doesn't make sense for this to be our own government - why would they run any secret projects out in the open? It's as if these drones want to be seen, and it doesn't make sense for our government to test these things wide out in the open.

Maybe it's a giant conspiracy? All the involved regulatory bodies, Intel agencies, military and government officials/politicians claim they have no idea what these are. I can't imagine all these individuals and orgs are involved in such a conspiracy.

I don't know, nothing about this currently adds up to me.

Seriously?

Commercial Aircraft - No question that some of these "drone sightings" are commercial aircraft filmed at longer range distances. However, if you have looked at different videos, there are objects that are CLEARLY not commercial aircraft. They are flying 30-40 feet in the air, and they are not moving fast enough to keep a fixed wing aircraft in the air. They are also moving in ways, shifting from horizontal to vertical flight, which fixed wing aircraft can't do.

Navigation Lights - couple of possible things here:
1 - If you don't want to draw attention to yourself by flying a "covert blacked out" drone, then as they say just "hide in plain sight" by looking like a typical commercial off the shelf drone.
2 - If you are using commercial off the shelf drones, they are going to have the standard lighting on them.
3 - If you are actively flying the drones by sight, you are gong to want to have lights on them so you can keep orientation.
*Note - some of the drones are switching the lights on and off depending on the circumstances.

Mixed Origins - there are reports that citizens and new media are sending up their own drones to try and capture video, or possibly to try and take one out. This means that some videos are showing the "Mystery UAVs" mixed in with "Known Civilian Drones".

"Something" is up, foreign or domestic, whatever it is, it has a deliberate purpose.

Worth reading: https://www.wired.com/story/us-military-mystery-drones-response/
This, in turn, limits what kinds of counter-drone systems the US military can actually employ domestically. Service members may be up to their eyes in fresh counter-drone tech overseas, but the regulatory environment at home is rigid enough that “hard kill” solutions like missiles, guns, and other kinetic interceptors aren't even considered potential options because there’s simply too much risk that they might end up inflicting collateral damage on innocent, unsuspecting civilians in nearby neighborhoods. Even “soft kill” solutions like RF and GPS jamming require coordination with the FAA and other federal agencies to prevent potential harm to civilian air travel, approvals that could slow down the reaction time among base security forces amid a potential drone incursion.

And then there is this!

I have not seen these towers pop up on radar before. 3 of them off the coast of NJ. Flagged as "Military". And i googled what "TWR" is and got this..
"
TWR stands for air traffic control tower in the military. TWR controllers are responsible for providing air traffic services to aerodrome traffic, including the runways and taxiways. "

Thats whos operating these things I would guess. They move around and disappear. Must be on a ship. Looking at the shipping radar all that is out there is a sailing vessel near one.

I know jack shit about drones but I assume our military has some whiz bang secret squirrel ones . So here's my simple minded question, why don't we put a couple up and follow these supposed invaders to see where they land and nab the perps with the controllers?

Because that would be like hiring a private investigator and asking him to follow you around to find out where you've been going. They already know whose these are and where they came from.

If it was a foriegn government you think they would have all those lights on them. It our military playing with some new toys. We are behind in the drone war game and probably catching up fast. Why do you think NJ hasnt sent a police helicopter up to inspect them with that big ass spotlight? They are our drones, secret military shit going on.
One of the departments had a helicopter following one then the pilot got scared due to the drones erratic behavior so they stopped following it. There was a press conference about it a handful of days ago.

A US corporation will be running drones with ground penetrating radar later this year In the state of Missouri so keep your Iranian stories ready.
I wonder what they're looking for ?
I can say I live in one of the towns that the sightings started in. They really are in the sky, many are very large and it’s not uncommon to see a couple dozen a night. No idea what it is but people here not happy and getting the end of our ropes. Seems like there’s only two options in my mind mentioned above but it’s definitely not hobbyists or residents mistaking commercial aircraft for drones.
You live rural or urban ? Mask up and dump one of them.
The problem is the minute someone shoots one down they will get hammered for doing it.
No face, no case.

Not much of NJ is truly rural but I live in a town with open space and hobby farms scattered among the estates of the elite in the area. It would lean towards rural for this state.

I would classify Warren, Sussex and western portions of Hunterdon counties (all Northern/Western ) as "Rural." I lived in Warren for over 25 years. Certainly a lot more rural than the rest of the State.

Reconnaissance for multiple attack options on the population or military, YEP!

Delivery system for a biological or chemical agent, YEP!

Undefendable swarm attack on a Presidential appearance, YEP!

Weeks have passed, what does the leadership and residents of NJ know about what is actually taking place, NOTHING!!!

If anyone thinks you are going to "just shoot these out of the sky", you have not been watching what has been taking place in Ukraine or the Middle East!

The US is NOT prepared to deal with mass/swarm drone attacks, people need to wake the hell up!

I dont know why the news is saying its illegal to fly at night. They obviously never looked up the laws. Black friday sold out drones everywhere. And at that time you see a sudden increase in drones.... hmmm. I dont see anything being done wrong, unless the few that went into regulated air space and based... which what? Just a few? .... out of the thousands of reported sightings. What are they going to report sightings of next? Cars?

Then we have this explanation:

A lot of assertions being made despite the lack of evidence.

That individual seems to be doing a lot of wish-casting with his fear porn scenario in order to confirm and project his own dogmatic and political beliefs.

And if it was true, I don't think it would be CIA drones that would be looking for any threats, but likely DOE in conjunction with conventional military forces.

In short, I don't find that individual to be credible. But maybe he's right on some levels.

I was waiting for Jack Bauer to save the day. LOL. More credible perhaps.
