Oh I understand. This is me trading a spare barrel to help a buddy fit a barrel into his atx, his current barrel doesn’t work.

Added the tall 20moa pic rail so I need a 1.54 mount now on the ATX but it doesn’t touch and works for now.
For comparison:
AXSR 24” barrel with TBAC Dominus

It’s for sure great to shoot and get behind, but the non thumbhole is a serious knock against it
If memory serves, regular AW mags work fine in an AX. The special AX mags pop in a little more securely. So I have tried a lot of thumb rest contraptions for my AXMC. The ones I have tried all have compromises. Some interfere with the folding stock locking.
I ran into this one from MBE Ballistics. It is billet machined and perfectly blends into the skins and chassis. It is ambidextrous. It has a curved rest that is comfortable and is adjustable front to rear.

Ehh, I don't see either as better than the other, they just have different strengths and weaknesses. I have both and if I had to keep just one it'd likely be the Razor but I am glad that I don't have to make that decision.
There are no mounting points. Someone around here drilled and tapped theirs for XLR’s thumb rest.
The ATACR is easier for me to get behind. Have the G3 on the AT-X and ATACR on the AXSR.

Really cool to shoot these back to back. The AW is an '07 in .308 and the ATXC is a '24 in 6.5cm...at least 17 years of technological advancement between these two examples.

I discovered that the Limbsaver Recoil Pad Grind To Fit Black Small (1″ Thick/LOP) 10541, if installed upside down, fits on my AI AT, and if left unground offers a softer and wider recoil pad than factory.
