The Innorel tripod has held up great to be honest, but it _IS_ getting replaced with an RRS soon-ish because I want something that can go much taller so I can glass off of it more comfortably (at 6'4). The Leofoto clone ballhead is entirely RRS' fault because I tried to buy the real thing at the time but it was out of stock everywhere for the longest.

Added the tall 20moa pic rail so I need a 1.54 mount now on the ATX but it doesn’t touch and works for now.
For comparison:
AXSR 24” barrel with TBAC Dominus
ATX 20” barrel with TBAC Magnus.

If memory serves, regular AW mags work fine in an AX. The special AX mags pop in a little more securely. They have a little catch bumped out on the front, making them unusable in an AT unless you cut and pound the catch flush.

So I have tried a lot of thumb rest contraptions for my AXMC. The ones I have tried all have compromises. Some interfere with the folding stock locking.

I ran into this one from MBE Ballistics. It is billet machined and perfectly blends into the skins and chassis. It is ambidextrous. It has a curved rest that is comfortable and is adjustable front to rear.

Here it is on my MC

It is really amazing. It was about $95 total, including shipping from London that cost $35.

Yes. Different lower, stock etc. Completely different.
Only thing shared is barrels and magazines to my knowledge.

Ehh, I don't see either as better than the other, they just have different strengths and weaknesses. I have both and if I had to keep just one it'd likely be the Razor but I am glad that I don't have to make that decision.

The ATACR is easier for me to get behind. Have the G3 on the AT-X and ATACR on the AXSR.

I am only referring to the ATACR 1-8x vs Razor 1-10x. But I will agree with you, the ATACR is a touch easier to get behind.

Really cool to shoot these back to back. The AW is an '07 in .308 and the ATXC is a '24 in 6.5cm...at least 17 years of technological advancement between these two examples.

I discovered that the Limbsaver Recoil Pad Grind To Fit Black Small (1″ Thick/LOP) 10541, if installed upside down, fits on my AI AT, and if left unground offers a softer and wider recoil pad than factory.

Less about recoil with my 308 and more about increasing the surface area of the recoil pad permits a better rifle to shoulder connection which makes everything seem more steady, especially in the prone.

Anyone shooting 6 Dasher with the new Gray Ops magazines? I'm having a terrible time getting rounds to feed in my AT-X. Have tried the mag catch at a few different heights. Seems like the brass shoulder is ramming into the receiver locking lugs.

Have you tried the updated mags? They changed the follower to address some issues with 6mm rounds

@WillHugh do you have a picture of how the case is hanging up? I'm running the greyops 6gt mag in my ATX chassis. The issues I had were related to the bullet tip catching on the feedram area of the magwell. I did have to mess with the catch position a bit.

I had a couple thumb rests CNC'd in aluminum that mount into the female receiver for the AXSR folding stock. I've sent a couple out to folks here on the forum as well.

It basically clicks into place via the same ball mechanism as the stock, but as it's a circumference to the receiver it then also locks itself into place and provides a solid thumb shelf. It still allows the stock to fold fully to the rifle as well.

It's the round looking attachment. I mount it with a small ranger/rubber band around it so it becomes more grippy. It works very well for me and my hand size. If you think it's something you want to try I have an extra one laying around still and am happy to send it to you at shipping cost.

To see if it would work for you, just put your thumb where the stock locks into the receiver and imagine you actually had enough purchase there for a controlled trigger press. If that feels comfortable/right to you, mine would probably be something you enjoy.

Having trouble posting pictures right now. I think that may be my issue though. The rounds are coming out of the magazine, but not making it very far. What position did you find worked best for you?

I have, and unfortunately I still get stovepipes (nose down) with my 6GT in my AT-X.

The only work-around that I've found at this point is to load the rounds forward...even with the back of the feed lips. Feeds great then, but I doubt that would work well if I were running around in a PRS match and slamming my rifle off of stuff (getting rounds to shift in the magazine).

My mag needs to be pretty tight against the bottom of the action when locked in. No vertical slop like I can get away with on my other mags.
