    They really don't need cars anymore they can walk with not much difficulties not like some 250 years ago when they needed horse and carriages due to sore asses from musket ball wounds running for their ships.

    Different demographic here than in Europe. 500 miles will take you the length of England or most European countries, many, much less. Thats only the distance from NYC to DC here. If you live in a city and dont leave much you;d be nuts to own a car with the cost of garaging it, taxes, etc,

    If I'm going north west, 500 miles leaves me just over 400 miles from the border by El Paso.

    Step by step, slowly turning up the heat for the frog to boil. Destroy human relations (basic -> family), destroy attachment and meaning (property -> housing) and later on detach from every other item (movables -> all other stuff). What you're left with is a person (if it can be called that) without attachment to anything, a leaf in the wind willing to go anywhere, take any abuse without any stand and purpose in life.     Remember the old days, people had (at least in our socialist paradise) pathetic washing machines (if) waited for year for a Renault 4 or Golf I however once they've had it they cherished it, took care of it and it worked. What do people have now? Gimmicks and stuff that breaks either before or just on the warranty date, superficial relations i think the western values that might have been a reality at the turn of 19th century have been now eroded to such a degree that they are basically unwanted heritage by younger generation - a literal spit in a face for generations of humans sacrificing their lives. In hindsight it would be better for Galileo to drop his bullshit and simply confirm the Earth is flat and center of universe and be done with it. Fuck the Renaissance turn the fucking light off...

    UKstan and its ex Colonies are just trying hard to out do the Chinese , just look at their covid policies and enforcement.
    Also remember their surveillance state predates pedos at FBI,CIA ,NSA etc... . Before china set up their first facial recognition system London already had a million or so cameras tracking folks on every step.

    El Paso to Los Angeles is just under 700mi. Houston to el Paso is about 750miI. guess it depends on if you're measuring from city limits, to city limits or downtown, to downtown.

    I've always enjoyed conversations with people that are from the northeast.. They can cross state lines and in Texas you haven't even made it from you from Houston to Dallas or Victoria to Austin… lol.

    I've said it before. The endgame of the whole self-driving car thing is to get rid of private car ownership. Better still, not only will the government/corporations track everywhere you go and when you go there, but if you step out of line, you won't be going anywhere.

    I-10 according to these people, there are 799.14 miles of I-10 from the west end to the Texas border, 881 across Texas and 780.2 from there to the east end.

    I say screw the Brits, they are our oldest enemy. We kicked their ass twice in the revolution and 1812. I'm sure there are some good folks there and I know some are on this site but I have no fucks to give for the UK as a whole.

    Well, San Antonio isn’t South of Houston, just West. But it doesn’t matter. The drive is further from El Paso to Los Angeles than Houston to El Paso. And as far as “air miles”, no flight is like that. There are plenty of “freeways” that the airplanes have to navigate.
