    Sling swivel issues

I think (I hope) I am starting to figure this 22 rimfire group shooting out. Recently, many times I have shot five shot groups at 50 yards and had one to several shots hit way off of where I expected them to go. I also noticed during this time that my CZ 452 Military Trainer seemed to "jump"...

jbell, Thank you! mrbig, It is the 452 Special Military Trainer, not the 452 Precision Trainer.

    Parallax and cheek weld

Russ, I'm still relatively new at this. I know what cheek weld and sight picture are. What is NPA and sight radius?

    Parallax and cheek weld

To make this question short and sweet - if your scope is adjusted to be parallax free at a specific range, does (and if so - how) an inconsistent cheek weld affect accuracy? Answers do not need to be short and sweet. Thank you.

CZ 452 Trainer 22 lr5-shot group size at 50 yards

I expect better than 1 MOA out of this rifle. Part of the problem may have the US Optics SN3 3.2-17x that can not be adjusted to be parallax free at 50 yards. A very poor cheek weld (due to the stock design and high rings) didn't help either. I also was getting 2-3 and 1-4 groupings and...

    bullet lube

Good question, I have wondered the same thing. I think some 22 ammo uses graphite as a lubricant also.

A question on the Remington - Eley ammo.

Badshot308, Thanks! Both my "Match EPS" and "Target Rifle" boxes have the same wording. The "Match EPS" also lists the velocity (1060) on the end tab. The "Target Rifle" does not. Jim

A question on the Remington - Eley ammo.

Does anyone know who loads the Remington - Eley ammo (Such as "Match EPS" or "Target Rifle")? Is it Remington or Eley?

How do you break in your rimfire bolt action?

I know this is an old post, but I have a question on the copper plated vs lead bullets in a 22 lr. If I have used copper plated bullets in the past, and start using match quality lead bullets - do I need to do a thorough barrel cleaning (i.e. get the copper out if there is any) to get the best...

I have another question regarding optmal scope magification for 200 yard shooting.

I thank all of you for your advice. I think I will put the USO on it and see how it does. I haven't shot bench rest for a long time so it will probably take some time to get back in the groove - especially with the winds we have had for the last few weeks. Thanks again!

I have another question regarding optmal scope magification for 200 yard shooting.

I think I mislabeled this post. I am more interested in which scope would give me the best opportunity to obtain small groups at 200 yards.

I have another question regarding optmal scope magification for 200 yard shooting.

I have a CZ 452 Military Trainer. I also have a choice of two scopes to put on it. Scope #1 is a 4.5-14x Nikon Buckmaster. Scope #2 is a US Optics 3.7-17x (MOA adjustments). Realistically, will there be any difference in my ability to hold groups with either scope? Obviously. I am more...

Armscor Precision .22 Long Rifle 36 Grain High Velocity Hollow Point

Interesting. I have never shot 22 lr over 50 yards. Do you need supersonic ammo to do so. That seems to be the consensus on this board.

Question on the DIP 11 mm extended scope mount on a CZ 452 Military Trainer

Do I need to worry about proper vertical alignment (front to back) of the DIP 11 mm Extended Dovetail Mount (19050) onto the dovetail of a CZ 452 Military trainer? Or, do I only have to concern myself with the horizontal (side to side) alignment?

Armscor Precision .22 Long Rifle 36 Grain High Velocity Hollow Point

Does anyone have any experience with this ammo at 100 to 200 yards?

Scope mounting issues with a CZ 452 training rifle

Thank you for the replies. They brought an interesting alternative to me, namely the 11 mm to picatinny base. There seem to be three options: The BLK 200 series for $55-$60 The Evolution HD 80900 or 80902 for about $80.00 or The Murphy MP1032 stainless for $125.00 Any of these...

Scope mounting issues with a CZ 452 training rifle

I am having difficulties mounting a NIKON 4.5-14x Buckmaster scope on this rifle. I purchased a set of medium 11 mm Leopold rings (1"). When I attached them to the rifle, they were canted a few degrees off of being perpendicular to the action\barrel. They also would not allow the objective...

Rifle Scopes Do you have this problem with 6x variable power?

Re: Do you have this problem with 6x variable power? Sorry folks, I have been away. I will post some "through the scope" pics next t9me I get to tHe range.\ Jim

Rifle Scopes Do you have this problem with 6x variable power?

I have had 2 USO scopes (SN3 3.2-17 and the SN3 3.8-22) that the cross hairs are too thick to use effectively at the MAX magnification and too congested to use at the MIN magnification. Is this a problem with me or have others encountered this also? Jim
