Rifle Scopes ADM Mount on semi-auto precision hunting rig?

I have an ADM mount on my Accuracy International AT and it flat out returns to zero. I would recommend it for anything. Here is the proof: https://youtu.be/lPy2oOfV9zQ

    New Rifle & Brass Question

The AI bolt has smooth robust locking and some mechanical advantage. You could have a stiff bolt indicating oversized brass and not realize it if you're aren't used to the AI. If I understood you correctly, you are using the chamber to check fired brass. Try checking headspace with a gage and...

    Hello Form Pennsylvania

I shot at Scotia when I was in college. Someone asked about it the other day and I couldn't remember how far it went. I'm in SE PA now but considering joining Mifflin County to get to 1000 yards but heard it got pretty crowded on the weekends.

Tips for running a large frame gasser?

I would say that slop matters. The slop between the upper and lower as well as the slop between the stock and the lower. Slop means that you can have variability from shot to shot. You don't know exactly where in the slop you are when you fire the round. You can torque the pistol grip to start...

New .308 AI load development **Getting There, Updated**

How did you choose the starting loads? Varget and 4064 book loads are similar yet you started much higher with Varget. My suggestion is you start lower with Varget. I've found a 175 SMK over 43.5 grains of Varget to be a common accuracy node in multiple 308s.

Tips for running a large frame gasser?

What stock do you have and is there play between it and the rifle?

    Bolt or ar platform

My personal opinion is that ARs can be extremely accurate and even a typical rack grade AR is usually far more accurate than it gets credit for. However, if you are looking for sub 3/8 MOA accuracy you can get there for less money in an easier to shoot platform via a bolt action rifle. Im not...

Help me choose a Brass trimmer

I just purchased the Giruard Tri-Way in 223 and 308. Works awesome. Accurately and quickly trims, chamfers and deburrs at the same time. I highly recommend them. I don't believe they have 6.5 Creedmoor though.

Question about Atlas 5-H Mount on AI Rifle

If there is a lot of play, try loosening the knob all the way and pushing the knob to drive the spigot into the chassis as far as possible. Then tighten the knob. When everything is made and installed properly, there is very little play in the system. The rifle may tilt 2-5 degrees when the...

Rifle Scopes Need a scope for ruger precision rifle

I recommend looking at the PX for a used optic. if you get the right price you can always sell it later for a similar price. You should be able to find a used Vortex gen 1 razor, leupold MK 4 ER/T or Bushnell XRS for less than 1500.

would annealing reduce effort to seat bullets?

I would certainly try annealing some. I anneal after 3 firings and you can certainly feel a noticeable difference between the last loading before annealing and the first loading after annealing. I would not described it as taking a lot of effort so there may be something else going on as well...

    ATLAS Bipod Suggestions wanted.

My V8 was a little loose so I contacted Accu-shot. They were get in communication and turn around. They said they replaced older style buttons and pins. I figured that meant it was less likely to reoccur. Did you have any that were updated loosen up again?

    Rifle Storage question

I feel that any foam, cloth or porous material contacting the metal can hold moisture against it potentially causing rust. The risk increases as the surface area of contact increases and the airflow around the interface decreases. For that reason I don't leave firearms in any cases for extended...

    Sling for positional hunting

I really like the Short Action Precision positional sling. Great fast adjustments for getting slung up and a QD on the cuff for even faster release. https://www.shortactionprecision.com/collections/sap-positional-sling

    Another budget ar thread

I've never owned or shot a Mossberg or Troy AR so I can't comment on those rifles. The PSA uppers I have used are good and I believe they would meet your criteria. Personally I stay away from their PTAC line as I have heard less than positive comments about them; however, I have no experience...

    Another budget ar thread

I would say that your expectations are 100% realistic. Bulk ammo will typically group from 1-2 MOA and match ammo and/or reloads should easily get you down less than 1 MOA many times around .5 MOA. I have had good luck with PSA components and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a build. But look...

    Peterson 300 winmag brass review

It was a couple months ago but from memory neck turning improved the runout. I don't recall the specifics after neck turning but it was still not what I had come accustomed to with Norma brass. Looking through my sent box, the emails were sent on October 2nd and November 4th of 2016.

    Peterson 300 winmag brass review

I had a less than positive experience with my 308 Peterson brass. After 2 & 3 firings on two lots of 100, I was still experiencing significantly more neck & bullet runout and less accuracy than my Norma brass. I email Peterson and got no response. I then neck turned half and got another firing...
