I bought the kit from Viltor that ships with the A5H2 buffer and standard rifle spring. I switched the weights down to the "0" equivalent and can't tell any difference between the two. I am shooting a 16" mid gas barrel from BCM known for generous gas ports. I am running a pretty efficient comp.
I would also buy another rifle but if he really wants a flat top I'll trade whatever he wants for his stripped upper. They aren't particularly valuable but they are getting harder to find.
I think concealing a safes location is more important than having a bad ass safe. It kills me when I see a lacquered safe with gold leaf lettering used as a centerpiece in someone's study or sitting in the garage for all to see with the door open.
I have one of the original Inforce lights on my house rifle. It has never missed a beat. If the rifle will be used inside I would stay away from the stronger lights.
I don't think BCM manufactures anything. Their claim to fame is QC. They have fixtures/gauges to check every single part they assemble a rifle with. Like OE800 said... They probably cannot source parts.
"Selling what you can’t easily replace is not a good idea"
I'm old, not in the best health, don't shoot much and don't have any kids. It will be one less thing my wife will have to deal with when I die.
You can call me names but that won't stop me from selling while the prices are high. You can get $1.50 per round for 9mm Ball in small quantities. That has doubled since Thanksgiving. A local shop can't keep handguns in stock and will only sell you one box of ammo with each gun purchase.
I would leave it a pistol. Why would you want to declare it an SBR and put yourself on the come get mine first list? The guys with stamps will be the first ones to go down!
What is the situation?? Pelican cases are plastic. The strongest lock in the world wouldn't keep me out of it for more than a minute! Who are you trying to protect your rifles from??
