Can somone HELP ME with pistol reloading?

Re: Can somone HELP ME with pistol reloading? It looks like most of your other questions have been answered. As for bullets, my favorite ones that haven't been mentioned yet for 9mm are the 124 FMJ bullets from Precision Delta. They go for less than Berrys plated bullets lots of times and I...

Rifle Scopes Rifle scope for muzzleloader?

Re: Rifle scope for muzzleloader? No problem. All of my muzzle loaders wear rifle scopes. Muzzle loader specific scopes usually have a shorter parallax, but with most modern muzzle loaders, having a 100 yard parallax isn't an issue.

Rifle Scopes SWFA - hands down, WORST company I've dealt with

Re: SWFA - hands down, WORST company I've dealt with I've dealt with SWFA a few times and I have a SS scope that I really like. I believe they have excellent scopes, but that's about it. They are far from the worst company I've dealt with, but I don't like them nearly as much as many guys...

    What barrel to get?

So I want to re-barrel a Savage Model 110 in .270 to a .280AI. This is my first time attempting to re-barrel a rifle myself so I have a lot of dumb questions. I want a 26" stainless barrel with a 1-9 twist. I would prefer to have spiral fluting on it, but I'd deal with regular fluting. Now...

Can someone recommend a guide and cleaning rod...

Re: Can someone recommend a guide and cleaning rod... I had a Dewey rod and now have a Tipton. There is no comparison. They aren't even close. The Tipton is 10x the rod that the Dewey is. That said, I used my Dewey cleaning my muzzle loader, and while I should have bought a bigger rod, I...

Rifle Scopes Scope $200 to 300 range

Re: Scope $200 to 300 range I wouldn't use a fixed 10x for deer hunting either. IMO the Burris Fullfield II is one of the best choices in that price range. For $400 you can step up to the Conquest which would be my next choice.

Rifle Scopes Was set on Bushnell 3200 5-15x50mm...

Re: Was set on Bushnell 3200 5-15x50mm... They did you a favor by not having that scope unless it was the tactical model. I had a Bushnell Elite 3200 5-15x40 and while the glass was good and it did hold zero, the adjustments were horrible. It didn't track anywhere near accurately, nor was it...

    Rifle Scopes Scope Reccomendation: Leupold's

Re: Scope Reccomendation: Leupold's I'm also not a big Leupold fan. While I've never owned a Mark 4, I've owned several of their other scopes on hunting rifles. I've never been impressed. I've had issues with several of them from failing to hold zero, to having something floating around...

Ridge in base of once fired brass?? PICS!

Re: Ridge in base of once fired brass?? PICS! It could possibly be a sloppy chamber. The full length resizing die doesn't resize all the way to the base of the case. The ridge you are seeing is where it stops. I have this same issue with a rifle I've got, and while it slightly annoys me, the...

Rifle Scopes Reminton 700 Nikon scope ideas

Re: Reminton 700 Nikon scope ideas I have a couple of that exact Monarch and it's a decent scope, but not great. It seems very durable, and the glass is decent, but nothing to write home about. IMO the Burris FFII's I have blow the Monarch UCC out of the water when it comes to glass quality...

Gunsmithing Borka torque wrench without or without the bits?

Re: Borka torque wrench without or without the bits? I decided to go ahead and buy the MG9 kit directly from BorkaTools.com I checked out the group buy and the price seemed tempting, but after much debating I decided I'd rather have it in the steel case than a pouch, so I went ahead and...

Gunsmithing Borka torque wrench without or without the bits?

I've finally decided I need to go ahead and get a Borka torque wrench. now I must debating if I should pay the extra $40 and get the one with the bits or not. What size bits does it take? are the ones that come with the set good quality? I have a to of screwdriver bits that loom like they would...

    Rifle Scopes Scopecoat or ScopeShield

Re: Scopecoat or ScopeShield I've got a ScopeShield Alaska scope cover on my SS 3-9x42, and I'd recommend it. That's the way I'd go for that style scope cover. That said, I can't advise you on the size since I've never used one on the 5-20x50, but I'm sure if you call them they can tell you...

Rifle Scopes Which Rings would YOU choose?

Re: Which Rings would YOU choose? I also think the vertical split rings suck. I had a set on a .22 one time, and I couldn't wait to get rid of them. I never want another set. I'm also not a big fan of the quick release rings and I don't really see the point. You still have to check, and...

Rifle Scopes Nikon Prostaff for hunting?

Re: Nikon Prostaff for hunting? I had a 3-9x40 Prostaff, but it was the model that was for sale about 2 years ago. I've not had the newer one. It was a decent scope, but decent was about it in my opinion. I had it on a hunting rifle and it had decent glass, stayed zeroed through lots of...

Pistol shooter, FMJ or Plated bullets?

I've been using FMJ or TMJ for all of my pistol reloads. Normally this is a no brainer because Berrys, Zero, etc are all more expensive than just buying FMJ's that shoot great from Precision Delta. However, one of the local groups I'm a member of has decided to do a distributor sized order from...

Rifle Scopes Burris Fullfield II Tactical

Have any of you guys used the Burris FFII Tactical scope? I've used several of the regular ones on hunting rifles and have always been extremely happy, but I've never used one on a tactical rifle. Well, recently I bought one of the tactical ones in 3-9x40 because I got a great deal on it used...
