    Rifle Scopes DMRii Pro reticle

I have no useful input for you. But this does seem like a good thread to voice my opinion (where maybe someone with influence will see) on the lack of a good Christmas tree reticle from Bushnell. Bushnell: start offering the Deploy FFP in the Elite Tactical line. A DMR/DMR Pro/XRS2 with that...

It looks like the fabled clipazine that politicians constantly are referencing may in fact actually exist.

    Savage 110 LR hunter 338LM/Update 8/7/18, 2000 hrs CST DONE !!!

Just because you were taught to not rely on a safety doesn't mean you shouldn't ALSO use a safety. Having multiple layers of safety net means that multiple things need to go wrong (swiss cheese model) before you can have an accident. If you want to wander around with the safety off do so on an...

    RUGER IS AWESOME

If you read in the FAQs (I think that is where) Ruger firearms don't actually have a warranty at all, written or otherwise. They just have a commitment to help their customers no matter what. It is a pretty cool model actually, IMO. P.S.--Glad to hear everything worked out for you!

Who has built a "do it all" rifle?

Folding or non-folding? Also, how do you like it? My fingers are crossed that they are going to release it for savage and I can pick one up.

Who has built a "do it all" rifle?

You're right, they updated the weight of it on the website to 3.5#

Who has built a "do it all" rifle?

So what if you got a 24" sendero/savage varmint contour barrel, so you had a nice mid-weight, then put it in an MPA hybrid chassis so you could add or subtract weight? With no weights it comes in at 2.9, and then you can add like another 5 pounds on top of that.

    Savage 110 LR hunter 338LM/Update 8/7/18, 2000 hrs CST DONE !!!

So basically, you are complaining that you got a lemon and are having to go through all the effort to fix it, but never let the manufacturer try to do you right? I totally understand wanting to fix your own gear, but if you got an objectively terrible piece of equipment you should send it back...

    Savage 110 LR hunter 338LM/Update 8/7/18, 2000 hrs CST DONE !!!

So, couple questions. Why did you not just send it immediately back after the first day of shooting if the chamber was so rough, it didn't extract AND it was damn near impossible to run the bolt? That sounds like an RMA to me. Also, what did you buy it for if not for long range? Genuine...

    Rifle Scopes Internal adjustment required

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding what you are saying, but this isn't really correct I don't think. With a 40MOA scope, you might not be able to even get a 100 yard zero, as that would take you to zero adjustment before you have even fired a shot. The cant of your rail changes how much elevation...

Range Report American Gunner 6.5 creed

Shot it in a match today out to a mile. The ES/SD definitely hurt me on a couple of targets--for instance, on one target I missed a tiny bit right, corrected.. and then the next one it was several feet low. Same hold for a third shot and good hit. Out of my rifle I get an SD of about 33 FPS...

Rifle Scopes What's the best way to move a scope to multiple rifles without re-zeroing?

Figure out what your change/offset is ahead of time, then dial that and reset your turrets to zero? You would just have to do it in reverse to get back. If you had more than two rifles it may be wise to have the one "primary rifle" and then dial/zero your turret to the others. But always return...

Who has built a "do it all" rifle?

So granted I haven't owned any of these parts, but for the cheap option what about a 6.5 creed Ruger American Predator in a Magpul Hunter stock with something light like a Bushnell LRHS or Leupold Mark5? Middle of the road barrel contour, 22" middle of the road length, threaded, takes AI mags...

Rifle Scopes Mid-price Precision Rifle scopes

I'm in pretty much the same boat as you price wise and looking at similar scopes, trying to keep it around 1200 or less. And with all my looking around, I keep coming back to the DMR2, but really dislike those reticle choices. It seems like a no brainer to me for them to offer them in the elite...

    building new rifle ,what caliber?

If those are the two choices you're between, I would say (having no personal experience with a x47) a creed. You can get Lapua brass for either one, making that a moot point, but with the creed if you are feeling lazy you can go down to the store and pick up some quality factory match ammo for...

Rifle Scopes Mid-price Precision Rifle scopes

Have any of you seen the new Bushnell Forge or Nitro scopes? It seems like Bushnell would be wise to put the Deploy FFP reticles into their more expensive scope lines, as it looks to me like lots of people like the Bushnell scopes but don't care for the reticle choices. More aiming points than...

IYO, Best .30-06 Rnd for Target/Hunting?

Uber-necro thread. I like it. My buddy shot some of the 178 ELDx precision hunter out of his 308 last time we were at the range. Got out to 1300 with ease. In an 06 I'm assuming that would be a great loading.

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Thoughts? 9mm 1911

I wasn't trying to be rude. Just pointing out a simple fact. Yes, 5 and 6 inch 9mms are sluggish... if they are set up incorrectly. Once they ARE set up correctly (that being 8-11ish pound recoil springs), then they are one of the softest, flattest, and funnest guns around. Yes, I'm pretty sure...

    Sidearms & Scatterguns Thoughts? 9mm 1911

This just isn't true in reality. Go down in recoil spring weight to get your slide speed up. Full size guns that are tuned correctly are perfectly reliable.
