Look at Smith Optics Pivlock v2 Tactical or Max Tactical. They have large lenses and they don't have a top frame that may interfere with prone vision. Optically they are very nice with little distortion and interchangeable lenses.

My 5-25 is also exceptionally clear and agree with the parallax markings being close to dead on with dial. The only complaint I have with the MSR is the center crosshair is a tad thick at 25x for smaller targets at 800+ yards.

Thought I would give a comparison of the new Bushnell LRHS 3-9x44 to some other higher end scopes; 5-25x56 Steiner MSR, 5-20x50 Vortex Razor and a Zeiss 4-16x50 Diavari T* FL with Z800 reticle (SFP). As the light really faded, I also grabbed a Zeiss Diavari 2.5-10x50 (SFP) with 60 reticle, a...
Delixe,
You are correct it was not an HDMR, it was the G2DMR (6-24x50), I corrected my post.
As for "little hairs", I have no clue what you are referring to, that wasn't the issue I had with the scope and my Steiner MSR sure doesn't have any "little hairs". I got behind a friends G2DMR this...
I recently returned what I believe is the same scope, G2DMR, due to the reticle looking like it was etched with a chisel (maybe exaggerating a bit) and the poor optical quality. My newlywed agreed since it was for her new rifle, she had more of an issue with the optical quality than the...
Billetman, appreciate the confirmation on the adjustment, figured as much but didn't want to f it up
EasternNChunter, this is my first scope more than $500 so I can't give you a comparison to other scopes in the Steiner price range. The scope is crystal clear and tracking seems to be spot on...
Total noob at this, first time shooting today with Steiner 5-25x56, how do you reset/lock-in the windage if your POI is not at the preset "zero"?
Awesome clarity and about .3 mil off windage at 150 yards, hence my question.

Thrusty,
Appreciate the 6.5 brass link to Midway. Placed my order for brass and RCBS dies, have an AIAE on order with Mile high and want to make sure I'm ready!

Have a 2009 TDI Jetta Sportwagen 6 speed with 85K, no issues to speak of and mpg between 37 -40 at 75 - 80mph on interstate, local driving 42 - 50 depending on traffic flow.
No regrets and would purchase again,
Ed
XOR, great post and perfect timing. I've been searching and looking at old posts for a few weeks on various forums in regards to the AI vs TRG rifles. Thank you for taking the time to write this excellent unbiased comparison.
