Suppressors 2- Thundbeasts 30P-1's picked up atter 6 mo wait

Picked them up from my dealer on Friday and shot them today on a variety of guns.

300 Blackout
300 WM
6.5X284
6.5x47 Lapua

All had no change in POI and even the mighty 300 WM was tamed. I shot a Badger FTE brake on the 300 WM and it still has tremendous concusion. All that was taken out with the Thunderbeast, although I couldn't bring myself to shoot it without hearing protection.

The other three calibers were all shot without hearing protection with the Thunderbeast installed and very comfortably.

300 WM and 6.5x284 with Thunderbeasts attached. Both built by Woody at X-Ring Accuracy and both hammers.

How was the 300 wm recoil suppressed vs with the fte?

Both these guns are tack drivers, and it was awesome to shoot these with my pops this weekend. Im really looking forward to shooting my new GAP 6.5 x 284 next time with him. The Thunder Beast took the 6.5 x 284 to where u can see impact at 100yards and you could shoot them easly without hearing protection.

Congrats to you. Those Thunderbeasts are great suppressors. I got my paper work back a couple of months ago on a 30BA that I think is the cats ass. 308's are very quiet now and have little to no movement in them out of my shooting bag. It also works amazing on my ar's.

BoBo - the recoil was propbably 40% less supressed than with the FTE. What was very impressive was the drop in concusion. Even with the FTE the gun just had a lot concussion and really after 20-25 rounds or so I could just really feel it in my head. With Thunderbeast installed, all that concussion was gone. I really think I could shoot the 300 WM as much as I wanted and not be bothered any more, although 40-50 rounds of that in day is more than enough for me.

I've posted range reports on both guns in the past. The 300 WM shoots .5 MOA. I have shot some 0.25-0.19 MOA with the 6.5x284. We weren't shooting for groups on this first outing with the cans, we were just having a blast with the new toys and smiling and laughing a lot.

After we get over the "man this is fun", we'll shoot some groups with the Thunderbeasts installed and see how they compare. I know I put it on my 284 and the first shot of the day on a cold bore was about 4" off dead center at 500 yards. After that I just didn't really care about group size I just wanted to send some rounds down range and hear the steel ring.

Ok I found 1 picture of a target taken with my Droid X. This is my son and his Father-In-Law. Mark (Father-In-Law) had not fired a gun in a, LOOONG time. Said he had never shot anything over 100 yards in his life and although he didn't say anything, he was pretty skeptical that we could hit anything at 500 yards, much less 1000+.

After I set the dope I put him behind the 6.5x284. Remember he hasn't shot a gun in years, never shot over 100 yards, never shot prone or used a bipod or squeeze bag.

Laying in the back of my Ford F-250, shooting off the bipod on the tail gate and a squeeze bag this was his first 3 shots at 500 yards. Take out the vertical stringing and he was all over it. When he got up out the truck he was wearing this great BIG grin from ear to ear.

Someone here asked so a couple of range groups on some loads I am working up for the 6.5x284 from X-Ring Accuracy. Both good one exceptional

This next one I really liked. It put 3 in one hole and then I pulled number 4 off a little. Number 5 went back into the same hole as the first three.

I can't shoot any better than this, but the rifle might.
