Well I just finished up my first OCW yesterday. Test range was from 55.4 - 58.6 grains of H4831SC. I did have a few single loadings of 59, 59.5, 60, 60.5 to check for pressure signs. 59 did start to show pressure and 59.5 had obvious pressure signs. The other two were not shot as they would have been too hot.

Everything appears to be low left until the 57.8 then it seems shift slightly to the right to just low. 56.6 was the obvious scatter, that was all over the place for no reason.

Thoughts? I was thinking something around the 58 gr looked good to me.

ETA- Decided to load up 5 of 58.2 just for shits and giggles. Useing a magneto speed v2 (first time useing this) - Things seemed to settle after the first shot, not to sure if I let a little extra squeeze by on that one or what. If it wasnt for the first shot I would only have a spread of 12fps

I think I agree that the 58 grain area should work. 58.2 with seating depth adjustments might get you where you want to be.

I don't think those thrown shots were the rifle's doings... just too far from where they ought to be, and not really any rhyme or reason to where they landed. (speaking of the 56.6 grain group)...

Anyway, 58.2 should be a good point to work on.

Dan,

Appreciate the input. 56.6 is a big ? for me as well, I have to assume I am at fault some how on that one.

I think I am going to do what you suggest and load some up with seating depth changes and go from there. I appreciate your help.
