6 Creedmoor testing: Think I found a winner!

After shooting a .402" 4 shot group with 1 flyer at 300yds. last saturday, my Longrifles Inc. shot this .898" this week with 41.9grs H4350, but this time I had the bullets .010" off the lands, last week they were into the lands more than I thought, about .015". Im shooting 105 AMP HPBTs.
Avg velocity from last week to this week was about 22fps difference with the same 15 SD. Tried 41.3 & 41.5grs RE17 but got some stringing, though Im not going to give up on that powder just yet.

42.2grs H4350 has shown promise as well. Might have to go back into the lands with RE17 to get rid of the vertical. WIP!!

Might have to give up on RE17, to save bullets, primers and time I did the Hornady method of working up, 2 shots per load, none of them panned out, 41.2, 41.5 & 41.7, had better results with 42.6grs of H4831sc, 2 shots under 1/4moa and the ES was 70.

Thanks for sharing that. I was wondering how you were doing with the RE-17. I need to get my lazy butt back out to put some rounds downrange and confirm dope...

Yeah, thought I had a good load but vertical at 600yds wasnt like the 1/4moa vertical I was getting from 42.2grs H4350 and last week sunday where I had 4 shots at 5/8" vertical(600) and 1 shot at 1.5" higher than the other 4. But, 41.8grs RE17 did have a low SD of 6, 41.4grs had a SD of 11, high of 3189fps, fwiw. 41.9grs did give me my smallest 300yd group to date with this rifle, yeah, RE17. .689", temps were in the high 60s that day, and that was with a .706" from base to ogive Hornady HPBT.

looks good J,,,getting my 6 next week so i will get some testing up as well..will be using the 105 bergs...got my new mag- neeto to use as well...dang the wait!!

I did a little bit of testing with the Hybrids, but only with RE17, was going to wait til my next build was done and test the Hybrids with that rifle, shorter throat(104) and tighter neck(274). Dont have that many left, might as well test a few on my current rig with H4350, we'll see if they shoot any better than the AMP bullets.
