how would compare to 260 or 6.5/284?
I expect it should be better than 260 AI but less than 6.5/284
But that long neck has gotta reduce throat torching giving better barrel life than 260AI or 6.5/284
QL shows 3100fps @62kpsi 140gr jlk, thats 6.5/284 performance
But as pointed out by another member 6/6.5x47 will drive 115 3200fps

Over 1200 rounds on my barrel, still shooting groups around 1-1.5" at 300 yards.
Been testing 87 VMAX bullets with H4831. Shoots best around 49.0 gr. at 3300 fps. Been up to 3600 without any pressure signs, but groups weren't as good.

reran numbers thru QL using 244 mashburn with 130VLD
3100fps @ 56K psi = 21.25 MOA drop, drift @10mph 5.5MOA @ 1k,
56K psi will certainly improve barrel life, long neck and low flame pressure
OAL used was 2.900, easy fit for a modded DBM

The difference between the three, as far as case capacity goes, is insignificant. I use the 6mm AI QL model and it is as accurate as any other load modeled in QL.

Have any of you noticed case stretching while fire-forming ?
got a thin ring around my cases about 1/2 up from bottom of case and about 3/32 wide.

Guy I know wipes his .280 cases with WD-40 sprayed rag before firing in his .280AI chambered rifle while fire-forming brass.

I see the reamer listed on the GAP website, but no brass or dies. Heard anything new?

George has the dies... don't know if 6mmC brass is out yet, but easy to fire-form 6mm REM.

Dies are in stock, Brass is an ongoing quest of mine. It's not going to happen any time soon. For now Winchester 6 mm Rem brass works great, 257 Roberts and 7mm Mauser will work as well.
I just got hodgdon hybrid 100 and Win Supreme 780 to try.

105 amax at 3328 fps here at 4800 asl
44.4 grains on RL17 and 210 primer, WIN. brass
2.945 COAL
61 degrees and 26% humidity
should give me 7.5 moa at 600 and 18.5 at 1000
5 shot groups were 3/8 to 1/2 inch at 100
gonna clean and mess a little with seating depth and tweak load a little. pretty happy. ES was 19 and SD 8.8

Even better.
The Manners GAT fits me well. I am loving the thumb hole style of stock. IT seems to fit my style of shooting better. It is 90% carbon shell. great fit and finish as all my Manners are.

Tubb Contour. basically a Rem. Varmint just a little heavier.

Yes We have a 6.5 Crusader Reamer as well. Have not Used it yet but Matt Hoch one of the Smiths here wanted to Mess with it. Should be comparable to the 6.5x284
