Funny u say that, when i was calling around for AI AXSR barrels I received plenty of NO we don’t cut for AI barrels.
Maybe I was mistaken and they don't have the magic touch (or have M27 and M30 programs .)

Does the AXSR/MC require 1.35" tenon blanks? I always figured finding or ordering blanks for the SR would be more challenging than finding someone to cut them.

Factory AI Bartleins hammer also in my limited AI experience. Factory barrels are just limited to certain cartridges and twist rates. Plus in high demand…. U guys are shooting them out faster than they can be spun up 💪

@jwood1284 If you look at these two rifles they both have cans and 4lbs worth of keyslot weights, which would imply that they are very arse hevy even with heavy scopes on them.View attachment 8019304

As compared to these two rifles which have very little weight added forward.
You would expect the ones with cans and all the weights added to be very muzzle heavy with no rear weights added.

What are those Baker Wings type units? AI keyslot specific?
@SierraLima makes them

Latest batch is perfect. Even with arca then I put skid tape across the bottom. Super stable.

He made a batch were you could still use arca but it’s much better being down even. Not going to use arca back there during a match anyway

I may have missed it but just to verify…if I want to run the full night vision rail do I need the high rail plus a 1.5 high mount? Or can I get by with like a 1.35? The optic will be a Nightforce atacr 5-25x56. Just don’t want to order the wrong stuff. Thank you for your help

You can get by with a 1.35 scope mount and a high action rail @Glassaholic has a high action rail in the Px for sale if you need one great guy

Mile High just called and said AINA told them they will not be selling the follower and spring assembly, only as whole mags with the new follower and spring.

He didn’t know a part number for the mew mags yet, or a time frame for when they will be available.

He did tell me if you are having mag issues with the AT-X to use AINA service.

Checked with Mile High today and they are still waiting to hear from AINA about the AT-X followers.

Appreciate the update. I'm not surprised by it, but it does seem kind of messed up for those of us that had issues (one mag had to be sent back, and another that "usually" works). Would've been nice to buy a follower spring, for those of us that have multiple AI's and/or swap between .308 and 6.5, and already have a boat load of mags. <shrug> At over $100 a mag, I'm thinking some people are going to be a little irritated if they have buy a whole new mag. But that's just MHO, and am not privy to what may have drove this particular business decision (supply chain logistics, production run impacts, etc.).

If you want a full proof solution to your AT-X if it’s not feeding properly then go with a shim. Since it has been installed, I’ve not had a single failure and that includes 6BR with the HRD kit in a standard AW mag (also works flawlessly with the AT-X mag). 6.5CM, 260 Rem, .308 Win all work perfectly too and I’ve not had to touch a feed lip.

Man, I’ve now officially seen this thread go full circle. It’s been quite the ride. 🤦‍♂️😂

What thickness is the shim you used? I haven’t had any issues since getting my mags back from AINA except a little hitch during chambering. No “failures” but it’s not as smooth as it could be on every round.

Might try a shim just for science sake.

Keep in mind, according to AI.....the rifles shims were used in/needed were UK rifles and not AINA. According to them, there was something dimensionally wrong/different in the UK rifles that wasn't in the AINA rifles.

Was on Mile high the other day and saw they had a ATX butt stock with quick adjustment knobs, are these up grades included in the latest version of the rifle or are exclusively an upgrade?

Should be the same butt that ships with current "gen 3" rifles.

Gen 1: original screw pattern and tool needed butt

Gen 2: updated screw pattern and tool needed butt

Gen 3: same updated screw pattern and tool less butt

The butt they are selling should be targeted for gen 1 and 2 owners.

Planning on ordering a prefit from Bugholes. Can anyone confirm a 26” M24 contour barrel will fit under the long forearm cover ?
Here’s a 26” MTU Hawkhill Custom barrel finished by Manzella Precision. Plenty of clearance under the bridge.
