Is there a thumb rest for the right side (right handed shooter)?

There is the thumb rest built into grip option as well. MKM, Anarchy, and MPA. Might be others.

I like it. Very modular with the panels and thumb shelves. It’s thinner than an Ergo in the hand and I wasn’t a fan of the texture options hence the goon tape.

I have the Rifles Refined grip and the thumb rest is great. Other option is drilling and tapping for the XLR as others have done.

I don't love the trigger, is the competition trigger user installed? any other options?

Thumb rest made out of bent aluminum. Covered with a layer of gorilla tape. Fastened to rifle with double stick foam tape and has a hole drilled to fit under the adjacent bolt. Cheap and effective. I like the thumb rest higher than one attached to the grip. I went back to the factory ergo grip.

When I hit the frank and Marc class, one of the comments was all shooters are also machinists. Nicely done, I wondered myself about using that back bolt or 3d printing something

The thumb rest they produce does not interfere with the folding mechanism or ability to close the butt piece on the ATX

Anyone running the R700 version of the AT-X chassis have issues with the action screws coming loose? I followed the torqued spec and tightening procedure specified in the manual, but my screws seem to starting coming loose after 40-50 rounds. I have almost 200 rounds on the chassis and would like to avoid skim bedding it, but I can’t think of any other solutions.

Just finished 3 matches 500ish rounds and still tight. Origin action with the supplied action screws.

Check your actions screws as they were flip in one of my chassis. The longer one should be in the rear for the tang. Mine was in the front which prevented bolt close and rear was barely engaged with the threads.

My screws look to be the same length. Front screw sticks up .20”, rear screw sticks up .21”. I would expect +\-.01” to be well within tolerance for screw length. Id have to pull the barrel to check the front screws thread engagement, but the rear screw looks good. If I went to a custom sized bolt I could get maybe 1 extra thread, but I don’t think that would save it. The wear pattern on the engagement surfaces of the chassis looks fine, if anything the right side is slightly more worn than the left. However the contact patch is the same length. I’m baffled, so I guess it’s time to send Mile High an email

I think I found my problem. There is a step in the recoil lug pocket so only the bottom tip of the recoil lug is contacting the chassis. You can feel it when you insert the barreled action. Using a piece of paper as a feeler gauge, I was able to confirm the recoil lug does not bottom out in the pocket, so I think this step is the source of my problems.

There is a mag block machined into front side of the inlet that's removable. This keeps aics mags from riding too high. I know some have successfully removed that block(as it's only held in place by a screw) and utilized aw mags successfully. I don't know how high the mag latch will hold aw mags into the action inlet. I'm under the impression you need to keep aw mags tight to the action to get enough case head presentation to the bolt face.

I removed that mag block that 406 mentioned and it’s been fine. Just took it out and cycled 10 rounds to be sure. No issues. Before removing the block it held the follower down and the bolt would ride over the last round

If it helps any, I removed the block as it interfered with the trigger hanger on the Impact. I haven't had any problems using the MDT polymer magazines.

So I had my AT-X for sale near 6 months and it didnt sell. Gonna keep it now and run a 6mm chamber of some sort. I am fully stocked on 6gt brass. Has anyone experienced feeding issues with gt cases in the atx? It kinda in no man's land between br using hrd kits, and full creed length. Has anyone tried the new atx follower with higher spring pressure and angled ramp with gt cases? I've read where guys are loading the rounds forward to where shoulder is at the rib to get reliable feeding.

I had fine luck running 22GT in AX mags. At first I had to slide the rounds forward so the shoulder interfaced with the rib, but then I sent my mags into AI to be “fixed” and they came back running perfect with GT cases.

Also, for what it’s worth, I’ve been running 12-round MDT AICS mags for the last few days without issue. The feed lips rubbed ever so slightly when I first tried them, but a little polish and they have been buttery smooth ever since. Not sure why guys say that the AICS mags are not compatible with these actions - mine has been utterly perfect. No latch issues or anything whatsoever.

Not sure about AW mags - I sent in AX mags and they adjusted the feed lip geometry. Didn’t say that it was specifically done for the AT-X or anything, just that mine were “significantly” out of spec.

They did also replace the springs/followers, but I have no way of knowing if they were the “new” style or if they just replaced them. They do seem to have a little more tension on them, but that could just be me justifying why they seem to feed better now.

As I’ve said in previous posts, sending mags in to have them checked is reasonably quick and painless… seems like an obvious thing to do if you’re having any issues whatsoever.

Joined the club! Just took home my new AT-X yesterday.

Had my first outting with the AT-X getting zeroed. This gun is a cheat code. When I'm doing my part is lays down some serious groups. Even when I'm not doing my part is still groups incredibly well.

Used 140 grain Hornady ELD and Sig 140 grain match ammo.

Looking forward to stretching it out!

Mine nose dives occasionally. Also, the mag that came with it seems to have more feeding problems than other mags I have, but I’ve been leaving about a 1/4 inch between the cartridge base and rear of the mag well, which seems to help a bit..
