Link for bolt lift comparison to a atx.
Firing pin reset weight. Very similar.
Cock on close atxc is far smoother.
At least the cock on close is better. That ish is annoying on the ATX.

I have an AT-X with at least 1,000 rounds thru it. I played with the one AT-XC that was in stock at Euro Optic recently, I was actually very surprised to find very little perceivable difference in bolt lift between mine and the AT-XC I handled.I'm still waiting to see some direct first-hand reports on the XC bolt lift.
Most people at SHOT didn't realize that the required safety rules of a deactivated rifle meant that AI had to remove the firing pin assembly, and by doing so there's no longer any resistance on opening and closing. The demo rifle at SHOT basically couldn't demo the lightened bolt lift.
I've talked with one other AT-X owner who handled the XCs at MHSA last month, and said he didn't notice much difference. Would be nice to get some empirical numbers describing resistance in pounds.
That video BigSky just posted is pretty thorough. Looks like the bolt lift is only about half a pound lighter, at roughly 8.5 lb versus 9 lb on the legacy AT-X.I have an AT-X with at least 1,000 rounds thru it. I played with the one AT-XR that was in stock at Euro Optic recently, I was actually very surprised to find very little perceivable difference in bolt lift between mine and the AT-XR I handled.
It's a very nice rifle, but I didn't feel much difference, even with the safety in "fire" position.
Just my experience with a sample size of 1 of each.

Keep in mind his ATX had 7000 rounds through it vs a brand new XCThat video BigSky just posted is pretty thorough. Looks like the bolt lift is only about half a pound lighter, at roughly 8.5 lb versus 9 lb on the legacy AT-X.
Cock on close being much smoother has distinct advantages, as well as the slight weight savings.
The only thing tempting me right now is the LH variant...

Yes, they only had one in stock in the showroom. I felt vey little difference opening or closing the bolt between the AT-X and AT-XR, virtually indistinguishableWhat is the AT-XR?
Ok man, someone else asked before, but what is an AT-XR?Yes, they only had one in stock in the showroom. I felt vey little difference opening or closing the bolt between the AT-X and AT-XR, virtually indistinguishable
Oh snap, I meant AT-XC. Sorry!Ok man, someone else asked before, but what is an AT-XR?
AT-XC is what I meant, sorry! EO had a red one in stock, I handled it for a while. It was nice, but I was surprised not to feel much if any difference dry firing and cycling the bolt between my AT-X and the new AT-XCWhat is the AT-XR?
For shits and grins I just put my Wheeler gauge onto my AT-X, opening the bolt from a decocked position. The gauge was placed on the inner bottom side of the knob. Multiple samples ran approximately 7.25-7.5 lbs to open. For comparison, my rifle has only had about 1k rounds through it.Yea but that's on an action that has more rounds on it than 90% of guys will ever shoot through theirs. Well broken in to say the least.
That’s a F’in deal right there. That’s gotta be best deal aroundFor anyone looking for an AT-XC, OTB firearms has black 6CM’s in stock for $4550. That’s damn near $2K off retail.

So then why are they selling it for such a discount. If it was sage green the link wouldn’t have even been posted because it would be mine.
They are very legit, they’re a huge retailer on the east coast of FL. Been there a couple times and they have some really nice shit.
OTB just cancelled my order on that ATXC and raised the price on their site back to MSRP... WTF.
That’s fucking gay. Technically breach of contract if they won’t honor it though. Once you ordered it that was a sales contract.
Be nice if they did honor it, but they'll just direct you to the terms and conditions on the website...

a few years ago, I received a product notification from Europtic. I placed the order then they cancelled it along with a one line email about a glitchThat’s fucking gay. Technically breach of contract if they won’t honor it though. Once you ordered it that was a sales contract.
Remind me to kick you in the nutsI almost bought me an AT-XC, just so I could flex on @TheBigCountry ...
...But then OTB just went full banana inhale and increased their pricing.

Nice piece of kit
Could be personal preference for the rail and it is my understanding that the hinge only comes commercially in one color, black.Nice piece of kit
I wonder why the Top rail and folder isn’t colour coded like the rifle was at SHOT 24?

I’ve adopted the Swedish method of maintaining contact with thumb and forefinger on the bolt knob while using middle finger to contact the trigger. Bolt manipulation is crazy fast and I can place the tip of my middle finger on the tip of the curved trigger shoe which for me Gives him more precise trigger press. Although, I’m sure it’s all in my head…I recently added the Sokek Solutions AT-X/C folding thumb rest. I love the idea behind it but with the stock AI grip I am not a fan as there's very little room between the hinge and your thumb. I currently have an MDT Vertical Elite Grip en route, I am hoping that the vertical grip will allow for more room for your thumb between the hinge and the rest or at least a better angle. If not I'll remove it and go back to resting my thumb on the folding stock hardware.

I liked the video, too, but I'm not the dude in the video.Well presented review, with thorough explanations, as well as lighthearted and entertaining presentation. Good job and I’ll be looking for more of your content!
I have the sokek too and agree with your findings. Been wanting to try this one as it puts your thumb farther forwardI recently added the Sokek Solutions AT-X/C folding thumb rest.
