My son and I tried out @pfl338 bag rider on the AXSR 300 WM today. Works well, and actually I think it's a good fit. We also sent some 50 BMG downrange as well :)

Scope shot loose, had to reset it and tighten it to 20 inch pounds. This is the group right after that. I had it torqued to 15 inch pounds. Maybe it needs some rosin too.

Barrels are consumables and are meant to be replaced. If your shooting is only done casually at the range, it doesn't matter much if it bleeds velocity suddenly or goes from 1/2 to 1 MOA. But if you're shooting matches, traveling and paying match fees, and trying to win, then it could negatively affect you at the worst possible time.

I don't drive with tires that have 80k miles on them simply because they have 1/16" of tread left and I don't expect a snow storm. I replace them when they need replacing, not after I end up in a ditch.

Absolutely love my Accuracy Internationals. Very few others can match the breadth and depth available from that line. My heard just grows, never trade/sell them :)

Why is it that the AI is just so easy to shoot? Makes anyone look good. I was contemplating upgrading from my ax308 to the axsr, but had to send a rifle down that road that will shoot so well with factory ammo.

Yes, lots of differences. Trigger is better on the AXSR, stock and chassis are different, bolt too. Barrel is the same. Cost is higher on AXSR. You can get smoking deals on a AXMC if you shop around.

Double checked zero on my 6.5 barrel. Man oh man am I impressed with the barrel life on this bartlein. After next weeks match, I’ll have over 2900 rounds down the pipe. She’ll be retired for a new barrel after that. I’m seeing very sporadic misses down range passed 400 yards. I’m thinking the throat is just about killed. I’m having the barrel machined in half and giving it to a buddy of mine who’s going to be graduating gunsmithing school. I think it’ll be a cool gift.
