I have had the best performance wth the Berger 175 OTM cartridge out of my AT which has the same 1:12 twist LW barrel albeit 24" lengthWhat rounds does your classic AW with 1:12 twist barrel like most? What have you had the best experiences with? Damn beautiful rifles...
Usually Fed GMM 175 works real wellWhat rounds does your classic AW with 1:12 twist barrel like most? What have you had the best experiences with? Damn beautiful rifles...
I took your advice and bought all the AXSR LH bolt bodies and a spare shroud/firing pin. Now all I need is the actual rifle LOLI dunno bout y'all but I try to keep 3 of everything....mhsa acting all weird when I want just a firing pin and shit lol
Not yet. And all I've had the chance to do is do a first cleaning of the bore. Shooting happens today where I hope to see how the entire setup does. While I figure there's plenty of shooting data on this forum for the classic AI AT, I'll be glad to share my results. There's got to be some LE on here with plenty of shooting experience on the AI AT with the Hornady TAP ELD Precision round.
What a concept

No U-Haul behind the hearse, agreed. Can't take it with you might as well have some fun before we are gone
With the way these things are increasing in price, shouldn't be too long and that's a $40k pair there. Very nice.
Axsr will be the new retro before long...Not sure it feels right to break up this retro party:

Maybe you already have heard of this monopod technique, but others might have not. I was thinking of buying one and ran across this vid:The Monopod when collapsed acts as a real nice bag rest. I run Wiebad Fortune Cookies. And, no way am I gonna try and hunt for a LH rifle after just getting this one lol. One rifle is enough.
Why? Nothing like flexing on the father in law for funFather in law wanted to go shooting for his birthday and asked me to bring a rifle. He started talking about getting into it and asked how much a setup would run. Thank God he didn't ask me about this one. I think he's learned already.

You and me would probably be good friends if we weren't opposite side of the country. I am not working a day past my 60th birthday and likely with saved up sick time months well before that. I work to afford the things I enjoy in life and that's it. Looking at ways to boost passive income and work even less. Only thing I got going til 60 is state retirement and benefits which are pretty nice. Why? Nothing like flexing on the father in law for fun.... Mine is always telling me how he built his wealth from the ground up.... Still works 10 hours a day and how lazy everyone is. He's 73 said he will be working till he's 85 blah blah blah.... Never sees his grand kids... Never spends time with his wife... drives a POS car that he's proud of for being frugal...Has a shiz ton of money and you would never know till he brags about how hard he works and never spends a dime.
One of my hobbies is telling him how I ain't working a day past some year... think I'm down to 45 and his reaction of unapproval is hilarious every time.
I then proceed to tell him how I'll spend the rest of life on vacation with his daughter who will probably still work because she loves her job...shooting my ,"ridiculously" expensive rifles with my kids, and jacking my grandkids up one day on mtn dew and all grandpa's fav treats.
If you ain't going to enjoy the days you got wtf are you doing here? I make no apologies for what I do with my money. I know it can be gone tomorrow but I'm sure as hell am enjoying what the good Lord has blessed me with today. I work hard and understand I am blessed and give back but damn I don't live to work. I work too shoot n boat....

Do old souls count? Because I'm only 36Im getting a retro, [cool cuz he's old], vibe from the ether (@FUNCTIONAL) - and he has a peanut butter SB scope to boot.

Yeah 35 is way coolerDo old souls count? Because I'm only 36.
I would like a classic s&b 4-16 for it. Would look really nice.
Mine Came with a Harris tooView attachment 8334117
It'd temporary for greater things. Trying to decide if I custom machine the atlas spigot to get mount my pic atlas cal or buy a tbac or just buy the correct atlas cal nc to screw on.
Negative. Elite Iron with their spigot. ATLAS spigot sucks elephant dick. Or buy a full-length RRS ARCA Rail that is designed for the AT and use a Ckye PodView attachment 8334117

Gap tempest with a WTO switchlug. But only if you like Joe Biden.Emotion wants me to buy an AT.
Logic won’t let it.
In the area of 60-ish degree two lugs up / one lug down for reliable AW feeding we have the ARC CDG and Aero Solus in addition to AI.
If either ARC or Aero developed a quick change barrel system it would be interesting to watch them compete with AI.

Yes except get rid of the ATLAS@TheBigCountry @Nik H soooooo.... this?

For a reason I can't fully explain, I just want the whole spigot to be able to come out without tools. Maybe I should repent and just put the EI back in.

Terminus has already been there, done that.Emotion wants me to buy an AT.

I understand the Terminus Zeus to be one lug up, two down, unlike AI and Aero and ARC.Terminus has already been there, done that.
Papa needs an axsr!Another amazing foray into what the market will bear...

....when you can buy a real AI for the same price that actually has a firearm...
I had one (just the chassis/Kit and the MIRS) and sold it for "what the market will bear" and I have no regrets. 300Winmag is icky.
I debated going off spec and doing 300 norma. I won 100 pieces of peterson 300wm brass though so idk. Still debating what I want to do with this.I had one (just the chassis/Kit and the MIRS) and sold it for "what the market will bear" and I have no regrets. 300Winmag is icky.
This is AI pic thread #2 if memory serves.I can’t help noticing that this thread and the DTI SRS thread both have 17k posts. That seems like a gross inequity, bordering on crime against humanity.
How can AI have only ten more pages than an AMP DSR-1 clone?
I see the Ryobi air pump so where’s the doll?
I left Suzanne in the truck but on a hot Florida day the air pump is a huge time saver.I see the Ryobi air pump so where’s the doll?
Not sure how much info has circulated, but confirmed AT-XC will still use the same barrels from AT, AX, ATX, etc.
Video should start at the AI part:
That looks the exact same to me
It is interesting that the short upper gun is on the old action.
