So I'm going to buy another trigger for my AXSR as a backup... I'm traveling to a couple of matches this year that I really can't afford to have a malfunction at, and I figure if anything is going to give me problems it's the trigger. Would you buy another standard trigger or get the Comp trigger? I guess the thought is I'd run the comp trigger and try it out, and keep the standard trigger as a backup. I do really like the standard trigger in the AXSR, I have lightened the 2nd stage up a bit, but there were times shooting really far, like 2200 far, on small targets, that I wished for a little lighter break. Nothing that made me say I absolutely gotta have a lighter trigger, but if I'm getting another....

Any deets on this inegrated-ABR-bag-rider setup? Is this the 50 cal or modified 338/ASR rifle?

My insurance policy just arrived

All three Left handed bolt bodies plus a spare left-handed shroud/firing pin assembly for the AXSR. Now all I need is the rifle...LOL

I think we need to doxx @Nik H and get AI & all the retailers to boycott him. He seems to have single-handedly cornered the market on AI lefty bolts, all manner of skins in all colors, and god only knows what else lol

I bet he has 5 identical backup trucks, 8 diesel backup generators, 6 wives, three stoves in his house (with 6 microwaves), and 3 entire warehouses full of toilet paper…

It was you @Nik H that bought all the toilet paper during the pandemic. Right? 😂

No man smart enough to buy all three available left hand bolts is dumb enough to have 6 wives….

AI owners deserve more credit than this

But they are from Backup-Wives™. He keeps them in their original wrapping paper on a shelf in a hermetically sealed box in the “off” state. When one gets too old she is recycled and the new one is activated by inserting the dongle with the Cook/Clean/Orals subroutine on it.

C’mon man. 🤨

Ok all in good fun. Back to AI programming.

New AI owner needs some assurance if anyone’s willing to help.

That's the ABR from Longshot Precision:

...

That must be the 50 because that is not an AXSR buttstock it's on
OK tks. At first I though that Left-side QR lever was for adjusting the ABR up/down and was like holy-fook !! On second glance, seems ABR is bolted to the PIC rail and ajdusted normall (y) 50 Cal rear stock just has the new QR for LOP adjustment, I think..now everything is making sense.

I bought a spare AXSR trigger from EO a while back. Do they offer two different types now because all I ever heard of was the one AXSR offering?

I think the guts of the trigger are the same but the housing is different. Comp trigger will drop into AT action. AXSR has an additional roll pin holding the trigger in place. I'm not sure if the comp would fit in the AXSR.

Stop the presses. LH bolt hoarding notwithstanding, I believe I got Mr. @Nik H mixed up with a certain @VSP968 AI hoarder.

Turns out the guy with all of the toilet paper is @VSP968. Sorry @Nik H.

I need to up my skin hoarding game it seems (pssst I’ll buy some old skool thumbholes haha)

Ain't gonna lie, I probably wouldn't miss the hump. I've asked it many times why it even exists? 😂
Right? I love my AXSR, but that hump is a bitch a lot of the time in weird match positions. They should have just went with the ATX style in the long and short, the same way the AXSA/AXMC were the same. Eh, can’t have it all and end of the day, my misses are on me not on it.

(honestly tho I wish I had the balls to do that do my rifle, at some point...)

Some alcohol makes it to easier. When you know you’ll never sell it goes easier. Goes easier after first one also

Well I did a thing that will probably catch me as much flak as trying to put the rem 700 bolt handle on awhile back. That was ill advised. 😭

So what was messing me up with the hump when shooting the axsr from prs type positional barricades on a bag (which isnt often) was the tendency for it to torque side to side with the high center of gravity when using the hump. So I, ummm, I tried a gamer plate (I know, I know) and it is like the heavens opened and stability was bestowed. Forgive me father...

No need to circle it…

We clearly see that abomination 😁

Nice reply. I can't stop laughing

If you look at MHS, you'll see that there are no more LH 308 bolt bodies. Seems like I got the last one.

I had a lot of TP....

@BurtG This is our Curtis Valor in an AXSR AICS. 20" 1:10" 308.
It's a stunning rifle, it chambers rounds in a way that sometimes you have to check to make sure it stripped one out of the magazine. This rifle is 'tinny', it's clunky, the bolt rattles from side to side, AICS style 12 round 308 steel magazines are noisy under recoil. Even being a 60 degree bolt (which is why the Valor was chosen), it still is nowhere near the same quality.

It's a great rifle and serves it's purpose as a light, easy to shoot and carry rig for 100-500 meter deer hunting and training, but is in a different league in terms of build quality, feel and overall adaptability.

Got my long AT-X top bridge, spare AT-X "Optimized" magazine, and a 3" section of Pic rail with a sling swivel cup in for my AT-X from Mile High Shooting today.

They must know I have a 6 year old because they tossed in a bunch of stickers. That kid LOVES stickers, he had a great time slapping them on my lunch box, reloading bench, and who knows what else.

You should hit up badger ordnance for a sticker pack. They have the master builder (Lego) themed stickers and shirts. If your kid likes stickers and legos, that’s a win win with BO.

I don't reload so I am always looking for good factory ammo but their cost is high compared to FGMM which works pretty well. I want something in 308 with a bit more MV than FGMM
If you don't intend to load, have you looked at Copper Creek? It will cost more, but you can actually have them develop a load for your rifle, then you can order that custom load whenever you need it. If you want higher MV, you can have them do a load development pack to find out how high you can go in your specific rifle before you get into pressure.
