No. I Like MTU or heavy Palma. Is the post 2018 contour different?

Post 2018 is similar to heavy Palma.
I don't know what the 2018-present contour specifically is (I would presume @Covertnoob5 is correct, as I have read that before), but I do know that it is a heavier contour than pre-2018 barrels).

I only bring it up because of the following, in case that contour fits your needs:
I wanted to have a replacement barrel on hand for the factory barrel that came on my AXSR 300PRC. Since I started looking in July, there were none available from either EO or MH, and neither of them showed an option to backorder. Also, it is Elite Sand - which is the color they just discontinued. Before, I had been able to continue to special-order AI factory 300NM barrels in Sage Green for my AXMC from WinTac (through EO) during the time they had discontinued that color, so I asked EuroOptic to check with WinTac to see if we could put in an order for this one to be built. A few days later the answer came back from WinTac - "Yes, you can order it, and the expected time for production and delivery is 4-5 months." I put in the order through EO on Wednesday. Yesterday, EO received THAT barrel from WinTac and shipped it out to me today, 6 days from the order.

So, if the 2018- profile is acceptable (it IS a fairly heavy contour), you might inquire about ordering an AI OEM barrel (WinTac/Bartlein). I've always been told 4-5 months to deliver, but it has never taken more than 3. But neither have I ever gotten one in six days before, either!

I will definitely give that a shot...THANK YOU!

Heads up that EuroOptic has black and dark earth AXSR MLOK forends in stock currently: https://www.eurooptic.com//Accuracy...h-Forend-Tube-Sub-Assembly-w-Integrated-.aspx

I already got a bunch of KeySlot weights so no longer on the hunt for one, but in case folks were looking.

EDIT: the dark earth ones are sold out already, black ones still available at https://www.eurooptic.com/Accuracy-...end-Tube-Sub-Assembly-w-Integrated-RRS-R.aspx

EDIT: all gone it appears

Sorry if this is a dumb question, will these fit the AX308 rifles as well?

Es vs fde blah blah blah how about you get out and get that ejection port scratched up.......

Luv my PRC. USPS was supposed to deliver a new barrel Friday and I had plans to get it zeroed Saturday at Quantico, but USPS never misses an opportunity to disappoint; package 2 was delivered on time, but not the barrel, or again on Saturday. It mailed from NY and is showing stuck in Richmond (90 minutes south of me no less), which means I may see it Tuesday.

I also need to work a decent load for it using N570, RL-26 or H1000. It's a 1/9 so it may not work with the 250 Atips, I'll use the 220 Bergers instead.

I was running the 230smk over 78 gr of retumbo from a factory 1/9 at 2930 yesterday

2925-2950 is just where I'd like to be with the 220s (if I can get there from here since I'm basically at 250 ASL). I've heard a lot of good about the new 230SMKs, but don't have any to experiment with, just Bergers and Hornady 225s.

If I can get this with a WinMag, you should not have a problem with your PRC

Can you elaborate on "newer WM chambering"?
Some of the older reamers used on the WM were for mainly the 170-190 class bullets. Newer chamberings allow to use with the newer longer bullets like the 200-230gr bullets. Best example of this is, a fellow member here has a Proof 300WM barrel, it has a shorter throat. Has tried with 215+gr bullets and will get pressure with almost any load. He also has a AI 300WM barrel and can shoot 215gr Bergers at 3k+ FPS. I can do the same as well with my AI 300WM barrel. My current loading is 208ELDM with 77gr H1000 right at 2946FPS. I can also load the same bullet with N565 and get 3023FPS with the same exact powder charge. We have tested the 215gr Bergers with 80-81gr of N570 and it easy to get that kind of speed with no pressure issues.

Not saying the PRC can't hang. But from what I hear there have been several revisions on the reamers uses since the PRC is showing pressure sooner than the WM. I haven't looked into it too much since I already have the WM and don't need all 3 30 cal magnums for the AI.

The barrel I'm waiting on is a fancy steel Bartlein with 5R and chambered using the AW2 reamer that relieves the base a skosh so the resizing die can do it's job; supposedly solves the clicker issue you could encounter after a few firings.

I thought you were supposed to put velcro over that area so it wouldn't get scratched up and appear used?
Do people actually shoot these things??? PUT IT BACK IN THE F'N SAFE OR IT COULD GET SCRATCHED!!!

I wish that Hornady offered the 208 ELDM in a cartridge form

Midway had a Red AT-X in 6.5CM at good price, impulse buy and now it's sitting next to me.

I always liked angled bag rider, so I can adjust the rifle not only via squeezing the bag, but also by moving the bag front and back. The bottom is smooth enough to easily slide the bean bag forward band backward to adjust height, yet has enough friction to hold the rifle in place how you left it.

Maybe I don’t understand how those are used but it seems to me that having an angle on the bag rider means when the gun recoils the back goes down and muzzle goes up. How is it possible to see trace or impact with an angle like that?

The angle allows you to adjust the rear bag or rear of the rifle and adjust your POA on target. Like squeezing your rear bag to adjust butt height

Recoil??
