So Frank's out again . Fuckin height requirements. You have to be 3’11” to drive that
They don’t make telephone books anymore either…So Frank's out again . Fuckin height requirements.
Nah, I’d just want to turbo it cuhFind a 2007-2013 Chevy Silverado, 5.3 liter, in great shape with low mileage. They are a few out there. With proper maintenance, they last forever.
You can do that.Nah, I’d just want to turbo it cuh
AFM laughs in forbidden glitter.Find a 2007-2013 Chevy Silverado, 5.3 liter, in great shape with low mileage. They are a few out there. With proper maintenance, they last forever.
They dont make one anymore.
No more vinyl floor mats, manual transmissions, manual transfer cases, or radio deletes.

What am I missing? What is AFM?
Thanks. My brain wasn’t working. I was trying to figure it out. I hate everything is abbreviated."Active fuel management"
Aka 4 and 6 cylinder mode.
They use oil and solenoids to special lifters to turn cylinders on and off.
They have a history of lifters getting stuck halfway and beating themselves to death while glitter bombing the rest of the engine.
They do make them.
Mmm... they make their cheapest option, yes. We buy fleet vehicles at work, and even they're overly complicated, fragile crap.
2005 paid 4k 2 years ago and had to fix a few issues.

Aint perfect or pretty. But she’s solid. Lq4 6.0 4L80 12 bolt rear,8ft bed, plastic floor. No variable cam shit or cylinder deactivation.
We need no options. Monkey proof.
We got some POS RAM vans in recently. (probably because they were the cheapest, because no one's buying them)
Crap literally started falling off one of them on the second day.
RodgerThat's 10.5" 14 bolt rear end. Full floating with beefy hubs and brakes. The diesels get a 11.5" version.
The 12 bolt hasn't existed since the 70s.
That will also be a 4l85e, as they added 5 pinion rear planetary gear sets in 01 ish to beef them up. They take the same rebuild kit and are identical, other than the 5 pinion planet being a $700 upgrade to install in the older ones.
Check your knock sensors. They're in the valley, covered by rubber plugs. When water gets in there they corrode and throw false codes constantly. Just need a pick to get the electrical connectors apart and a fuel line disconnect tool.
Be generous with rtv sealing them back up. If they already have rtv, they've been done already.
Now you just need decent mirrors to actually see around a trailer!

only code it throws is evap related. Charcoal can is beefed so I D/C it.
Saying you don't want anything because a ram fell apart is dumb. They can have nothing and I bet the door would fall off.
where is the charcoal canister for the gas tank connected to the intake manifold? There was an updated evap can because the stock one got full of dust and plugged up.
You want to keep all the evap and vacuum lines in good shape. The computer will modify line pressure in the transmission based on torque tables, and evap and vacuum can make it run on the wrong tables.
So yes, a vacuum leak can cause transmission failure...![]()
You'll have to go to Mexico and further south to find those.Still waiting for the mass deportations to happen that will put all those pretty new, now slightly used SUVs and trucks paid for by your tax dollar into the market. Hopium.

I was under the impression it vents to atmosphere after going thru the charcoal
I'm saying I don't want anything because I don't want anything. I want simple things with less to go wrong and easier to fix.
It's been about 2 years since I looked at the diagram. It's part of the evap system, it's all connected. One of those hard plastic lines runs up to the engine bay.
If you leave the gas cap loose it'll set a check engine light. It's dumb.
Base RWD Tacoma is $33k, 6500 lbs towing capacity. Double cabs are an option. 4WD brings it to $39k. Hard to beat Toyota reliability (although like most vehicles, they're probably not what they were 10 years ago)
