Alec Baldwin literally just shot two people

I thought the 5 and leave one was because many old revolvers were not drop safe and the hammer, which has the firing pin built in, could strike the primer should said revolver land on hammer, and there would be a discharge of the weapon.

Load one, skip one, load 4 more is what we use for our revolvers in the cowboy shoots. This centers the empty chamber directly below the hammer so those using a Colt or Uberti do not have to worry about hitting the hammer and setting one off in the holster. I carry a Ruger Vaquero so it’s not an issue for me to load 6 but the COF calls for 5 shots.

Thats the common old rule and one I followed when carrying a single action revolver.

John Wayne even relayed that in The Shootist.

Well it just keeps getting worse for her...

Hollywood has taken aim at her and baldwin will skate as usual, unless behind the scenes someone investigating this has a brain in their head and figures things out.

Baldwin will put on his best performance and claim because of her negligence not only a close friend and incredible and gifted crew member has been killed, but he too is a victim and will be forever traumatized by her negligence.

Shifting the blame of negligence is important in a Negligent Homicide case.

I remember an old Vietnam vet telling me he carried a Ruger Blackhawk through two tours. Said he always loaded six and positioned the firing pin between two case heads. I've owned several old models, but never tried it.

He opened the hatch and spun the drum as he had seen her doing not realizing she was looking at the "drum" through the "hatch" to check for rounds. He probably opened the hatch and spun the drum not looking/or realizing the shiny brass things spinning by should not be there. I mean all you have to do is spin the drum and the revolver is "cold". The blind (the assistant) leading the blind (baldwin).

Alec is safe in New Mexico for its heavily democrat ,prosecutor is democrat and doesn't like to prosecute criminals.

Live round confirmed, not that it's going to matter. If Hillary can weasel out of a negligent handling of classified information charge because "she didn't mean to", then Baldwin will evade this. They should spin this was Baldwin is getting off because of white supremacy, racism, patriarchy, anti-feminist or whatever other buzzwords they throw out there these days. Let them eat their own.

'I should have checked chamber but I didn't': Rust Assistant Director admitted to sheriffs that he handed prop gun to Alec Baldwin without making sure it was safe: Prosecutors say 'no one' has been ruled out of facing charges

So according to that article
1) She was on the set and did hand the gun to the assistant director.
2) The assistant director admits he did not check the gun.
3) it was a 45 long colt not 41 as has been speculated not that that makes any difference.
4) Even though the armorer swears there was no live(real) ammo on the set, they found live ammo on the set.
5) A source said just before the shooting took place some of the crew were using the guns to plink with off set.
6) They dug one lead slug out of the directors shoulder and GLOMMMM the fbi is "analyzing" it. For what who knows.
7) LE says no one is off the hook at this time including baldick.

Theres a metric ton of open desert in relatively close proximity. Wonder where the 'plinking' range was...

I'm a little bit tired of all this shit...........the man was handed a gun, not a prop gun.........that contained a live round, which no one checked, including the man that cocked the hammer, and pulled the trigger, resulting in the round striking two people, killing one..............end of story...............until the law, and the lawyers get involved..........I'm saying Alec Baldwin is a world of shit......

Agreed, all word games. It was a real gun used as a prop. Not some blank firing only replica that malfunctioned or broke.
It was negligence, not an accident.

Aren't all accidents usually a result of someone's negligence?

Yeah and here's the best part,
it's Baldwins company and the cheap fuck only carried 6 million in liability insurance.
When I retired from a life of cranes I carried 100 million on just myself.

That picture of him on the phone?
That's him talking to his agent, he's telling him that they're going to use all the insurance up.
Come next year he is going to be knee deep in debt and that skank wife is leaving his broke ass.

Alex, you killed a person, not the gun,not anyone else but you.

Ahhhh...I knew, I just KNEW the real reason that this happened was completely NOT Baldwin's fault for 1) not verifying weapon status, 2) pointing at something he didn't plan on destroying, 3) didn't verify target and what was behind it....or did he??????, 4) pulling trigger

But, folks...that is STILL not the reason. It was possibly a side effect of COVID that killed this young woman.

So that would make it a covid death with a underlying condition of a gunshot wound, yes? That would make it not murder and no charges would need to be filed. Genius!!! Yes I could see someone trying to spin it that way...

Why hasn't any "journalist," interviewing "consultants," mentioned the "mass casualty event" was caused by using "high-capacity clips" loaded with "high-powered bullets" in an antique "assault-style" gun similar to that used by Nazis at Iwo Jima? It's a coverup by the NRA and right-wing militias!

Alec pulled the revolver from the holster, cocks the hammer, points the revolver at the dead girl, pulled the trigger, and is the victim, right?
Well duh poor Alec is just a victim of that evil gun he was trying to make a buck off of.

Conversely, in Tom Cruise's 'Hey Homie, is that my briefcase?' scene Homie and his homie weren't even standing there in the actual take. Cruise draws and fires into a white screen.
The two homies were then spliced in, the same as when FJB supposedly met with reporters on the White House driveway.

The reason being was for safety precautions. The set director said that even though they use prop guns with blanks, blanks posed enough danger that scenes requiring shooting directly at someone was avoided and was spliced over.

Not always, a material or mechanical failure can be an accident. We in the U.S. are too blinded by the misuse of the word in regards to auto collisions which are majority negligence not "accidents".
Like the Serbu, for example?

Too soon?
