My kids science teacher said something about there still being Megladons and now my kids tell me "You dont know there are not Megladons, there could be".
Thats not bad logic. Ill give them that skepticism as skepticism is healthy.
Well there could be lots of things but until you show me otherwise the fossil record is a record of what has been not what is now in most cases save the celocanth.
I wonder if my kid were to say something like "Biology recognizes only two genders" would the science teacher allow the possibility as is apparently allowed for Megladons?
I also believe that dinosaurs and man inhabited the earth at the same time. And that dinosaurs are most likely still around.
The more I think about this and relate it to shooting I'm thinking the earth is concave and bullet trajectory is what is flat.
Well this is kind of true depending on how you define "dinosaurs". Horseshoe crabs have been around for a REALLY, REALLY long time and many believe that the alligator and crocodile share a lot in common with dinosaurs.
My kids ask about God.
My point to them is that we can distill the human being down into a list of ingredients.
We can build just about everything going given enough time, money and brains.
Sure we can take life and reproduce more life in a scientific setting.
but we can not, never have, never will, take something without life and make it life.
Something else provides the "divine spark".
You can pile up all the calcium, water, minerals, iron and what have you that comprise a human being but we have not made that that is inanimate, animate.
I think soon we will see extinct ice age animals roam the earth again as "clones". That is not reanimating life. That is changing DNA of an existing cousin and reformatting it with the DNA of a distant relative.
Again for us, life must come from life, but at some point in time when the planet was lifeless, something gave that "divine spark" that created that first one cell animal, or whatever you perceive the Genesis as, and gave that from which there was none.
And that spark does not just extinguish. Something happens to it, what I dont know.
My other point to the kids is that at some point in time you will be shitting your pants and in dire straights you will ask for a supreme being to save your ass. Might as well hedge your bet and believe now rather than only in time of need. You will only save yourself looking like an ungrateful ass and delay service when you need it most.
That would mean my 500 yard shots might only be 450 yard shots.

I can look out my window right now and see a 1500 ft mountain right outside my window. And to go from the Mariana Trench to the peak of Mount Everest you are looking at a minimum of a 55,000 ft or roughly 11 mile delta in the earths crust. The Russians have dug 8 miles down and had to stop there due to the heat tearing up their equipment.
The oceans are fundamentally comprised of the same thing shown in the picture. Water is water and due to hydroscopic forces, water is not flat. You can see little spheres of water in the picture shown.

I mean the distance which you can see objects, the uniformity of the constant of acceleration, the fact that everything falls straight down everywhere, the flight and flight paths of airplanes, the travel of submarines, the seas are flat, the resulting salts are flat, the lack of ultra deep (miles not feet) seas, the absence of high and dry land at the equator, literally every actual physical evidence.
Again, this doesn't look very flat. I've been at sea when the boat was moving ALOT. It certainly wasn't sitting flat when I was on it.
Ok so full disclosure, I'm an areospace engineer. I would love to further discuss the flight path of airplanes. I get how they work and the evidence used by flat earthers fundamentally misses the point on how aircraft fly.
As far as airplanes go, look at the great circle and some of the really long range flights. I flew over Alaska to get to Japan from New York. There is a geometric reason for this. Airlines aren't in the business of wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars in fuel just to be a part of some government conspiracy.

Yep. My teacher told me about great circle routes in 5th grade I argued that the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. She said basically the same thing you just did.
On a disc both my point and her counter point make perfect sense.
Fair enough so that argument is a wash, the flight path direction of aircraft therefore does not prove or disprove flat earth. How do you argue that it proves a flat earth? Would you say that an aircrafts altitude change proves flat earth?

No, the argument isn’t a wash. Now you explain to me based on globe earth why the airlines are flying over Alaska to get to Japan from New York. If creation is a round disc, then aircraft flying straight from point A to B will always arc “north”.
What reason will eventually force you to say is that it only appears to arc north because of the challenge of depicting a round ball on a flat map. With a little prevailing wind currents factored in.
And then I will counter with the fact that a piece of string and a globe also reveal the line isn’t straight.
And then I will ask if the great circles arc to the south in the Southern Hemisphere (they don’t). And hopefully somewhere researching these arguments you’ll start to ask yourself why all this evidence contradicts what you know. That’s the first step on a years long journey ?
Ships don’t sink over the horizon. Watch one do it, and then pull out a telescope and look for it. The whole thing is still visible. The whole thing will continue to be visible until the moisture content can’t be penetrated.
I'll bet on this at 10 foot above sea level.
The satellites must have anti moisture lenses.

It's actually a pic of a doe I shot last Saturday evening.
As we were winching it up on the gambrel, I noticed it. Took the pic to send to 15yr old Matthew. He appreciates stuff like that.
The best part of the game processing that night was when my guide was tugging the tail on my sow so he could cut it loose. The sow started a really long squeaky fart that lasted probably 30 seconds.
He got a whole mouthful of that fart.
30 second fart, that must have been quite a highlight. Did the guide pull off some super-wicked ninja-style moves to try and get out of the way when it came out?

I think he was one of those intrepid explorers who risked everything to breach the other side of Disc-Earth and see what lives there......Or perhaps it was the other way around and the Pod people invaded us.
