Rifle Scopes Arken Optics EP-4 Tracking Test Video

S&B 12.5-50x56 Field Target II

Oh I'd have the paralax wheel completed ripped off of that thing within a day, hehehe.

The V works two ways, Shoulder or Head to toe for a 5'9" guy to get accurate distance, which is an average person.
Been working on this too for clarity of those inquiring on it. This is what I have so far. Should help those new to this system some and those that are experts will surely point something out wrong with it. PM me if you have detailed questions

$599 for an untried optic with hopefully one random one (not hand picked) off the line that tracks 100%, or $675 for a Gen II PST. Hmmmmmmmm.

So it’s only a preliminary tracking review and the price given was retail price. No idea what street price on the Arken is, but retail is a shade above half the cost of a similar PST Gen II. At street price it might be a great entry scope. Personally, I couldn’t fall in love with the Viper as much as I wanted to and wound up going to higher end optics... but not everyone can do that.

The box is also labeled as "Amazon Warehouse", which is typically used or open box items, but I'm not seeing that in the description from the page where I bought it. "Sold by Arken Optics.".

Was the box all smashed?
Got my SH-4 today.
What's this feature and how do I get the included sunshade to screw on?

I have used Arken, smokes Vortex pretty badly with brighter clearer optics, repeatable turrets, built strong for less money than the Gen 2 PST.

You guys like @PBR DRIVER (a self-proclaimed dealer for Arken) and the other obvious shills are doing this young company more harm than good.
I understand you're trying to generate interest, but this isn't Facebook or Instagram. People here are smarter than that and they are seeing right through this circus and laughing at you behind the scenes.
@Arken Optics, @ARKEN-OPTICS, and @ArkenOpticsUSA - Jesus, guys! How many accounts have you setup?!
You're killing yourselves by trying too hard.
Let some guys try the products and let the word get out organically.
Listen to feedback and stay connected to your customers. You're blowing it. You're blowing it.
Frank gave you a gift, and you're squandering it.
Like I said, it's not just me.
Rant off.

Hi,

THIS RIGHT THERE!!

It takes about 5 minutes to search the www to see how many forums the click farm marketing threads have been posted to in the last week..it is bad when some of the other forums with substantial less knowledge base on it are removing all the arken threads.

The scope tracks (in test fixture, hasn't been on rifle and fired yet at time of his video) in regards to the single unit LL tested!! Let that be the first step in walking into the precision rifle industry, not the massive click farm procedures as if the old SEO techniques are still in use today.

Sincerely,
Theis

I guess great for sniperasfuck operators...totally useless for me as I don’t shoot at humans and by the time some match director is putting out a full IPSC we’re at or over 1000 yards...

I am surprised so many people take issue with the ranging part of the reticle. My swiss army knife has a wire stripper, its never been used over two knives in the last 30 years, it doesn't bother me though.

The center section of the reticle is the part I don't think I would like. Aside from the cross of dots in the middle I think they are looking pretty good.

Another thought for up and coming scope companies is to contact some experts during the designing of the reticle. The reticle has become almost as make or break as the tracking. If guys like Lowlight and Koshkin charge for some insight, it is more than worth it. The new PA line reticles were not accepted well for their less usable centers.

This times a million! Every time I see an Arken Dealer start a post on Facebook with “With all the buzz about Arken lately...” it screams fucking shill to me. They’re the only ones fabricating all the buzz. I don’t know who they are! On the other hand, I’ll trust when @lowlight gives his opinion.

It's may be mostly a competition thing, but the lack of a mil scale above the aim point pretty much rules out dialing for a further target and then holding under for a closer one (either because of stage directions or personal preference in stage planning).

Exactly! Got in the same conversation with one of the shills on Facebook and he was trying to tell me the mil scale is great for people having to range for hunting men. LOL Throw out that top and put up some mil marks. Make it useful for hold unders. Put the manhunting mil ranging part in the upper right or left quadrant if it must be there. Also dump those dots in the center and it would be a usable reticle. All the dots are screwy as there are .25 mil. Three detween each mil mark in the christmas tree too. Not intuitive. They should make them .2. Much easier for making holds with mil data.

I skipped the speculation and ordered one to try. It’s a 500$ scope, if it don’t work out then lesson learned. If I don’t like the reticle, I would choose a scope/reticle in my budget that I do like.
There are several choices in that price range, this is just another option.

Did someone tell Arken to try to be more annoying than Vortex PST fanboys of 5 years ago?

Because if they did, they smashed it outta the park on that point.
Did someone highjack this thread and turn it into a Arken thread? Or is your elitism showing? I was just involved in this same type of thread on Facebook, and I gave the definition of a elitist, as someone with a narrow mind, usually accompanied with very tiny hands.

And yet here you are.

I’ll let this one slide, as you don’t know me. Proof by thinking I’m a snob, but yes. Please continue to throw around assumption and insults, that will always endear potential customers to a fledgling of a company.

Please do go on, I have rules though about insulting me. You can’t use four letter words or trailer-park level ideas. You’re gunna have to work on it.

So go ahead, I’ll let you have another chance before I actually judge your character.

Saw these a few weeks ago on Facebook and recoiled a little at the price (thinking you get what you pay for). If these continue to track and the company stays on top of their customer service, I could see one of these making it into my safe. Wish either this or the Tikka T1X was about $30 cheaper MSRP, because it would be a great pairing for NRL22 base class.

Interested to see how these shake out.

Let me guess, Gohring, Fanboy, you shoot a .338 LahPoouh. You’re mentally threatened by some dude on a forum you’ve never met because he made a comment about annoying fanboys of a new company you bought a scope from, and was just told how eerily similar the gay love fest over a $500 scope looked?

Please keep proving my point your witless, half baked responses.

Please.
