What got all these fires going all of a sudden? Seems strange to me that they spring up all over such as they have. We probably will never know.
I wonder if some of it is from homeless Hobo camps that the winds came up and away their campfires went.
We had a big fire down by Colorado Springs a few years back that burned hundreds of homes and that is what they traced it down to.
I think these homeless are a huge problem all over the nation.

Cali is a sanctuary state! Hobo lives matter! They have to keep warm somehow. So what if the whole state burns to ashes! There are no laws and arson isn’t a crime either!

Condolences to the victims. CA fires are a serious and deadly issue.

The last big ones really exploited how weak the public sector fire protection system is. Yet the State focuses resources towards the sanctuary movement vs protection of the paying property owners protection. I see it as blatant public safety negligence on the States behalf.

whats wrong with letting it burn\???? teh USA doesnt care if Cali burns, fuck them all

Jerry I share your sentiments on many issues, you may be surprised how many Californians do too, especially the ones in the more rural areas, like Butte County for instance.

I see it as a blatant disregard of the laws of nature. Maybe just maybe you fucked up by building where fire is a normal occurrence. The reason the fires in CA are so devastating now is because Californians feel they have a right to live anywhere they want. Well Mother Nature is telling them that isn’t the case. Ca needs to to do some serious soul searching.

That attitude is an embarrassment. Yes my state is full of idiots and run by morons. But good people have lost everything. I know people who lost it all after being awoken @2am and told to leave right then. Minutes later their whole neighborhood is gone!

Not only are the tares destroyed, the wheat too.

I was born and raised in Ca. It’s an amazing place. I wouldnt wish this on anyone.

its full of idiots who let the wood pile up and create conditions for the state to burn , they have water policy that incents these fires. Why should we care or spend money on self inflicted disasters that your state enjoys hoisting upon itself. Not one federal dollar should be spent in that shithole this is self inflicted and willful stupidity by the state and all its residents.

The only regret I have is there is no way to keep you fuckers from spreading to other parts of the country,,,,, your state and its population are hated, sorry but its a well earned hate.

I think you need to look at the electoral map in CA. The vast majority of the counties are filled with right minded people. The problem is the majority of the state lives in about 6 counties with a population of 25 million of the 33 million in the state. The whole state isn’t full of idiots. The problem is the idiots are centralized and have consolidated power. Like I said in another post. The states need an electoral college system as well.

I feel your sentiments but just be wary of blanket statements.

AJ - I enjoy your thoughts and perspective on many things....

- You don't know what your talking about
- @ here those were friends and family
- I guarantee you wouldn't say any of that if you were in what was Paradise CA today
- Yes CA (& OR) are run and destroyed by the big MSAs; but these people were powerless in all of that and just trying to live a simple life a rural Western community

Without doubt it is a horrible thing going on out there.
I too, hope this does not displace a bunch of those fruits and nuts to come to Colorado where they have already fucked up what we had here.
Years ago we used to dislike the "Texicans" for coming up here and fucking things up.
It seems that now we are liking the Texicans more as they don't like to be Californicated as well.

I know that country. Made up mostly of conservatives, with the left sprinkled "liberally" throughout. Pulga is deep in the Feather River Canyon, and it would have to be a bad fire to go from Paradise, up the hil then down into the steep canyon to Pulga (means "flea"). From a numbers standpoint, how do you suppose the left is going to feel about 40,000 (yes, 40k, plus) people totally displaced (remember, these are their neighbors!) Californians compared to the import they place on the 4-8k invading from the south. Who is CA going to feed and house more readily? So far the only Hollywood -type, I have seen of note to head toward Paradise to assist with relief efforts is James Woods. Where are the football players, and worthless Hollywood types? Where is Berkely, and SF?

if it makes you all feel better I feel the same way about flooding relief here in Texas, New Orleans and Florida, you build shit in flood zones you will be flooded, no fed tax money needs to be spent to rebuild for the next flood. Sorry its not covered in the Fed Constitution either so no frikken milking the next 3 generations. Fix you own shit

I assume you've held political office? On behalf of your little community been to your state capital / met with your congress critters and personally lobbied for your little community?, been a part of budget making on a regional or statewide basis and have a firm handle on what it takes to 'fix things' when you're outgunned by many other MSAs in your state - right?

Well Jerry this is where I laugh at the uninformed and blatant idiot. You sit back in your red state and enjoy the simple freedoms we have to fight for. We are on the front lines... You are near the flagpole. So frankly your comments are as helpful as tits on a boar. Your blanket judgements speaks volume on you. Shame on you. I love how people shit themselves when someone leaves the state and moves into your redneck neighborhoods. They leave because of the very things you hate... Yet you hate them for leaving? You can't have it both ways. You won't see us wishing ill on you when your tornadoes take out your mobile home.

now I am back home I can respond properly to the entitled Doc

Well Texas has not always been a red state, the first two times I lived here it was a Dem controlled state so get off your ass and do something about it douche bag.

We are on the front lines... You are near the flagpole.

Thank you for recognizing the fruits of all the labor, work and education the freedom lovers in Texas have put forth to take the state back into the freedom column, we do have good people here. Hint for your lazy fucking sniveling ass, they took control of the state school boards but that takes work you aint willing to do.

So frankly your comments are as helpful as tits on a boar. Your blanket judgements speaks volume on you. Shame on you.

Firstly, SHAME on you for expecting sympathy for the slow motion suicide your state keeps attempting every year,, fuck you. MY blanket judgment is not a judgment at all its a factual assessment of the shitty situation you fuktards put yourselves in.

I dont hate them because they leave, I hate them because they move to my state and attempt to do the same stupid shit they did in their home state that made it so bad they couldn't stand their own stink, when you fuckers leave your state you should hang your head in frikken shame you fucking loser.

Stay there and fix your shit, you are like a cancer cell,a fucking tumor, a microbial virus, a state full of biological warfare agents that just goes out and fucks up whatever you touch or have anything to do with.

As far as wishing us ill, we frankly dont care what ya'll think, not one fucking bit, please stay out of my state and Idaho, Wyoming etc you are not wanted and will never be liked.

Now as to the double wide comment and the redneck characterization of our hoods here, I can assure you there are very few rednecks in Texas, more racial harmony than any other place I lived and we are a very wealthy state with a huge diverse economy.

Apologize to my Mule Muther Fucker, he aint laughing.

Yes I am laughing. You clearly don't know as much as you think you do. Don't like me because I live in California, Sounds like you take lessons from the left. But like they say nothing but steers and queers come from Texas.
You remind me of my sister in law from Texas. She makes us look normal as she like you doesn't think her shit stinks. Keep Texas, I would never want to live there. Hot humid and flat as the wife's chest. Only thing I liked about Texas was watching my boy Taysom Hill run over you.

pulled this from a post in another place, might be onto something

Does aaaaaanyone else find it just a LITTLE suspicious that “nature” decided to burn 20+ diff places at once in CA, and only within the borders of the Democratic stronghold in the country, the day after a very suspicious shooting (that immediately called for gun control ? Surprise surprise), three days after an election (that brought no blue waves btw), destroying thousands of homes- many of which elite pedophiles reside in- destroying evidence since they’re all hanging on by a thread here as their underground child sex rings are slowly being exposed one by one, oh and voter fraud is being exposed as well...

Yep, great mentality to say all California’s are shit bags. I will agree large portions in SF, Sac and LA are but who do you think is fighting on the front lines so that it slows the plague coming to your state?

This was from the carr Fire a few months ago, how do you think they voted?

PS, how many motorcycle chassis can you count melted in the garage?

The tree huggers and their extreme environmental management ideas are to blame for the vast spreading of fires like this. They are sooo consumed with keeping mankind out of their sacred forests that they don't allow fire breaks to be constructed, nor any prescribed burning of underbrush. Their backwards thinking is destroying way more trees than they even dreamed of protecting.

I say no more federal aid due to poor decisions made at the local level

I watched videos of people losing everything. I have pictures from friends who lost everything they owned. And there are people on here like this douche army jerry-curl wishing that on people. The people I associate with would never wish ill on others. But good to know that we have friends in Texas.

I didn't see anyone wish ill on you all in Cali, I am just telling you I dont care about the self inflicted ills and goings on in Cali.

You are looking for sympathy, you aint going to get it, if you ask for help we will probably send some state help but we aint giving you all any money.

Jerry,

Sometimes you know what you are talking about; sometimes you do not.

Paradise was not National Forest fuel loads issue— BTW not under or managed by CA.

This was an is an extra ordinary dry year with huge dry winds...

The location is not urban sprawl and has served the hard blue collar workers in the mines and saw mils sence the 1800s..

These people were our brothers and sisters not some greedy fucks your making them out to be..

Ya, CA’s politics are beyond pale, but these people’s lives and the hard ass working fireman and women trying to save them are our brothers and sisters..

Cant really get beyond politics, the water policy the lack of cutting back and clearing forest, I rode Cali a few times over the past 5 years and have been going there since 80, the place has degraded and is becoming a 3rd world shithole, the North part of the state is almost as mismanaged as the southern part, the whole infrastructure is collapsing and its all self inflicted, these fires are getting worse and worse and are happening multiple times a year now. Very preventable but everyone sits back and does nothing then looks for sympathy and waits for others to come fix it for them.

Look - I don’t disagree with you on my distaine for CA politics. But much like Texas, a few cities roll over the State.

One thing is important to understand that most of CA’s forest is National— that means guys in Texas make the call as much as the guys in CA on the forest management issues.

Here is a more informed response to Trumps Tweat about the fire— (btw I am not a dem. Just think it is worth reading the response)

California Professional Firefighters President Brian K. Rice issued the following response to the president's threat.

"The president’s message attacking California and threatening to withhold aid to the victims of the cataclysmic fires is Ill-informed, ill-timed and demeaning to those who are suffering as well as the men and women on the front lines.

"At a time when our every effort should be focused on vanquishing the destructive fires and helping the victims, the president has chosen instead to issue an uninformed political threat aimed squarely at the innocent victims of these cataclysmic fires.

"At this moment, thousands of our brother and sister firefighters are putting their lives on the line to protect the lives and property of thousands. Some of them are doing so even as their own homes lay in ruins. In my view, this shameful attack on California is an attack on all our courageous men and women on the front lines.

"The president’s assertion that California’s forest management policies are to blame for catastrophic wildfire is dangerously wrong. Wildfires are sparked and spread not only in forested areas but in populated areas and open fields fueled by parched vegetation, high winds, low humidity and geography. Moreover, nearly 60 percent of California forests are under federal management, and another one-third under private control. It is the federal government that has chosen to divert resources away from forest management, not California.

"Natural disasters are not “red” or “blue” – they destroy regardless of party. Right now, families are in mourning, thousands have lost homes, and a quarter-million Americans have been forced to flee. At this desperate time, we would encourage the president to offer support in word and deed, instead of recrimination and blame."
